FREE TO READ 🇺🇦 Russian torture, imprisonment and a death sentence, now we fight for accountability in the courts.
As I finished writing this article, Russia struck the railway station here in Dnipro, killing multiple civilians, a brutal reminder of why this fight matters.
This isn't about money, but about justice, accountability and refusing to allow Putin's crimes to be whitewashed.
There can be no lasting peace without justice.

❗️Humanitarian Mission to Oleshky: Demining Completed, Humanitarian Convoy Ready for Dispatch
Preparations for the humanitarian mission to Oleshky have reached their final stage. Demining of the designated routes has been completed, and the humanitarian convoy has been assembled and is ready for dispatch. It is expected to arrive at the central hospital, where all necessary assistance will be provided to civilians.
‼️Those wishing to leave the city will have the opportunity to do so until 2:00 p.m. All necessary security measures will be put in place.
Humanitarian aid distribution is scheduled to begin after 2:30 p.m.
☝️Representatives of the Ukrainian, Russian and United States delegations have gathered to coordinate further steps within the humanitarian mission. Journalists from all three countries are also present.
We are carrying out this humanitarian mission jointly with Yana Lantratova, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, with the mediation and coordination of U.S. First Lady Melania Trump. Our shared goal is to deliver humanitarian assistance to the civilian population and facilitate the safe departure of everyone wishing to leave the city.
👉 I am grateful to U.S. @FLOTUS for her personal involvement, mediation and coordination efforts, which made it possible to reach important humanitarian agreements.
We continue working with Yana Lantratova to ensure their implementation. Our unwavering priority is the lives and safety of civilians.
If anyone in Ukraine has soft stretchers available for emergency teams here in Dnipro, please DM me.
I’ve been asked to put the feelers out. Please share to help us reach anyone who can assist. 🙏🇺🇦
Russia has attacked civilians in Chernihiv and other cities across Ukraine today, killing two 15-year-old girls in Chernihiv and at least 14 people on a railway platform in Dnipro, where passengers were waiting for a train.
It’s been a dark day, as Russia continues its attacks on our people and energy infrastructure. 🇺🇦
Dad over dead.
Fucking carnage in Chernihiv.
Russian scums hit city center with "Banderol" (small-sized cruise missile).
Two 15-years-old girls were killed who were walking down the street at the time.
Videos 1 and 2 show a dad over a body of his dead daughter. On 2nd video his scream is heard on the background: "Noooo!".
@POTUS, @SEPeaceMissions, you like it? You are also involved in this.

This is the town Putin claimed only 45 days ago Russia had "liberated".
Just horrific footage of today’s massacre by Russia on civilians waiting for a train.
A broad daylight attack killing 13 and injuring 5 in Dnipro.
Russia is still bombing us here in Dnipro, even after today’s devastating attack killed 13 people waiting for a train.
Ordinary people, simply trying to get somewhere, now the families are grieving, and while attacks continue.
Absolutely sickening. 🇺🇦

Several Jet assisted drones have now hit Dnipro in the last 20 mins. The lights are flickering, so it’s clear what they are going for.
Air Defence is working 💥
It’s no longer a question of whether Russia has committed war crimes, but whether world leaders have the political will to bring those responsible to trial.
My latest for LLB on the attack in my home city of Dnipro.

Today, the evacuation of civilians from the russian-occupied city of Oleshky is supposed to begin.
Moscow has created a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Oleshky, and today, there will be no independent third-party observers, such as the UN, and no free press. Only a handful of journalists, escorted and controlled by russians throughout their visit to the city, will be allowed access.
Civilians will not be permitted to evacuate to Ukrainian-controlled territory. Instead, they will be forcibly taken to russia or occupied Crimea. What happens next to these 2,000 people, including 47 children, remains unknown.
Today, we may witness not an evacuation, but a forced deportation. All eyes on Oleshky.

I am still on my way to Oleshky. Our humanitarian mission is ongoing.
ℹ️ I see that people on social media are already commenting that I am on the territory of the Russian Federation. Many questions and provocative messages are emerging.
I want to clarify: I am going there to be on the ground in person and see what is happening firsthand, and to keep you informed about the progress of the mission. I ask you to trust official sources and not draw conclusions based on unverified reports.
☝️ One cannot even imagine how difficult these negotiations have been, and how long they took to get me to where I am now. But we have only made it halfway toward our goal. That is why I ask you to please hold all questions until I return home.
Once again, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make this mission possible, including citizens of the United States of America who contributed to this process. My thanks also go to all Ukrainians who took part in rallies abroad and made sure that the issue of Oleshky did not disappear from the public agenda. Thank you to everyone who made an effort to help.
❗️ And finally, let me answer one question: why am I going there in person? Because when it comes to saving people, it is important to be there with them. It is important to understand what is happening on the ground and to make every possible effort to ensure that the agreement reached is implemented. And if I had to go there to save just one person, I would do it again.
I believe this is my duty as Ombudsman. When there are people — our people — who need help, we must save them. Period.
If you want a real understanding of what’s happening around Kherson, Oleshky👇
Please read and share. Thank you, @Mariam__Lambert
