❗️Humanitarian Mission to Oleshky: Demining Completed, Humanitarian Convoy Ready for Dispatch
Preparations for the humanitarian mission to Oleshky have reached their final stage. Demining of the designated routes has been completed, and the humanitarian convoy has been assembled and is ready for dispatch. It is expected to arrive at the central hospital, where all necessary assistance will be provided to civilians.
‼️Those wishing to leave the city will have the opportunity to do so until 2:00 p.m. All necessary security measures will be put in place.
Humanitarian aid distribution is scheduled to begin after 2:30 p.m.
☝️Representatives of the Ukrainian, Russian and United States delegations have gathered to coordinate further steps within the humanitarian mission. Journalists from all three countries are also present.
We are carrying out this humanitarian mission jointly with Yana Lantratova, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, with the mediation and coordination of U.S. First Lady Melania Trump. Our shared goal is to deliver humanitarian assistance to the civilian population and facilitate the safe departure of everyone wishing to leave the city.
👉 I am grateful to U.S. @FLOTUS for her personal involvement, mediation and coordination efforts, which made it possible to reach important humanitarian agreements.
We continue working with Yana Lantratova to ensure their implementation. Our unwavering priority is the lives and safety of civilians.

Today, the evacuation of civilians from the russian-occupied city of Oleshky is supposed to begin.
Moscow has created a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Oleshky, and today, there will be no independent third-party observers, such as the UN, and no free press. Only a handful of journalists, escorted and controlled by russians throughout their visit to the city, will be allowed access.
Civilians will not be permitted to evacuate to Ukrainian-controlled territory. Instead, they will be forcibly taken to russia or occupied Crimea. What happens next to these 2,000 people, including 47 children, remains unknown.
Today, we may witness not an evacuation, but a forced deportation. All eyes on Oleshky.

I am still on my way to Oleshky. Our humanitarian mission is ongoing.
ℹ️ I see that people on social media are already commenting that I am on the territory of the Russian Federation. Many questions and provocative messages are emerging.
I want to clarify: I am going there to be on the ground in person and see what is happening firsthand, and to keep you informed about the progress of the mission. I ask you to trust official sources and not draw conclusions based on unverified reports.
☝️ One cannot even imagine how difficult these negotiations have been, and how long they took to get me to where I am now. But we have only made it halfway toward our goal. That is why I ask you to please hold all questions until I return home.
Once again, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make this mission possible, including citizens of the United States of America who contributed to this process. My thanks also go to all Ukrainians who took part in rallies abroad and made sure that the issue of Oleshky did not disappear from the public agenda. Thank you to everyone who made an effort to help.
❗️ And finally, let me answer one question: why am I going there in person? Because when it comes to saving people, it is important to be there with them. It is important to understand what is happening on the ground and to make every possible effort to ensure that the agreement reached is implemented. And if I had to go there to save just one person, I would do it again.
I believe this is my duty as Ombudsman. When there are people — our people — who need help, we must save them. Period.

🔴 Behind me, you can see Oleshky: the town no one wanted to hear about nine months ago.
Now, the world knows but the ordeal is not over.
The next week ceasefire will be used for a “press tour” to whitewash Russia's war crimes.
Don't fall for Russian propaganda.

It’s unfortunate that Zelenskyy and Ukraine has to simultaneously fight a two-front war against Russian barbarians and the greedy gangsters running the US government.

Kherson. Ceasefire.
A rare walk through just one part of the city.
The scale of destruction must be seen and known.
Usually, we cannot walk here because of the drones infesting the skies—so this is hidden.

I warned in my article that civilians must be free to choose where they go. Having literally been down this road before, I know why that matters.
Lo and behold, the FT now reports evacuees will first be taken to occupied Crimea or Russia.
What guarantees do they have of reaching Ukrainian-controlled territory?
CEASEFIRE OR FALSE HOPE?
Washington celebrates, Kyiv gets bombed, and civilians remain trapped in Oleshky.
I’ve seen Russia’s broken promises before.

It concludes that Russia’s deliberate attacks on civilian energy infrastructure constitute war crimes, and the systematic suffering inflicted on civilians amounts to crimes against humanity.
Press Release - ohchr.org/en/press-releases/…
A UN inquiry finds Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Last week, I filmed one such attack on Dnipro’s power station as “Putin” and “humanitarian” were mentioned in the same sentence. I can’t share the footage because of restrictions on filming energy infrastructure.
Let that sink in though
Russia is still doing this, while the Trump administration praises Putin’s “humanitarian” efforts.
