The true cost of the deportation and transfer of Ukrainian children is measured not only in numbers, but in the lives of the families left behind.
For more than four years, mothers have lived with uncertainty, searching for answers about children taken without their consent and often without information about their whereabouts.
In this video, one mother asks a simple question: Why my daughter?
Her daughter, a young girl with severe disabilities, remains separated from her family.
For years, together with my team at @emile_fondation have worked to trace, locate, and support families affected by these abductions. We have carried out rescue missions from frontline areas, provided accommodation, financial and psychological support, and helped families navigate complex procedures to seek the return of their children.
This is more than a humanitarian issue. It is a matter of human rights, family unity, and the protection of vulnerable civilians during armed conflict.
🎥 Listen to this mother. Her story helps us understand the true scale of this ongoing tragedy.
How can you help?
🔗 Share her story. Support our mission. Amplify the voices of these families.
Every family deserves answers. Every child deserves protection. Every separation must end with reunification.

Ukraine’s Security Service has warned of a possible Russian information operation involving interviews with residents of occupied Oleshky.
According to the SSU, the planned videos would blame Ukraine for the humanitarian crisis and portray Russian forces as rescuers.
But Oleshky’s food shortages, dangerous evacuation conditions and civilian suffering were documented long before these potential interviews.
Selected testimony cannot erase that record.

Russian forces have begun taking civilians from occupied Oleshky to Russia, apparently disregarding previously announced agreements governing the operation.
The operations are being conducted by the Russian military, without American representatives or teams from either side’s ombudsman office present. Russia’s state news agency TASS is openly filming the operation.
There is no indication that civilians are being given a choice of where they wish to go. No buses or other vehicles designated to transport evacuees to Ukrainian-controlled territory are visible.
The operation raises serious concerns that Russia is once again exploiting a humanitarian evacuation to forcibly transfer Ukrainian civilians.
The parallels with the evacuation of Mariupol’s Azovstal steel plant are disturbing. Once again, Moscow appears to be disregarding agreed procedures while controlling the fate of Ukrainian civilians.

Today, Russia hit the railway station in Dnipro. People were standing on the platform. Many dead and wounded. Among them are children. Medics continue to fight for human lives.
Russia deliberately hits passenger transport and places where civilians gather - stations, markets, supermarkets, squares, churches, and schools.
Russia is waging a war against civilians. You never know who will be the next.

When the First Lady’s chief of staff; who should remain neutral over this so-called ceasefire; reposts Mendel attacking President Zelenskyy, I fear we are witnessing an attempt to undermine Ukraine’s elected leadership. Could this be paving the way for a coup d’état under the cover of ceasefire deal?

‼️ Urgent: the situation in Oleshky.
The power of social media is real. Whether through X, Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp or Viber, people can speak for themselves and share the truth; even when politicians try to obscure the reality.
This is the message I received this morning from Oleshky:
“Yes, it’s all a staged show. They’re cleaning all the streets, painting the curbs, and sprucing everything up for the cameras. They’re trying to create a pretty picture in the middle of hell.
Meanwhile, the Russian military is demining everything and carrying ammo and supplies to their positions — and soon all of that will be flying toward Kherson (((
The number of troops in the city has increased dramatically, there are so many of them...”

"Better to stand an hour in a field than risk never seeing the next hour."
A Reuters camera crew traveled on an overnight passenger train between Odesa and Dnipro, documenting how Russian drone attacks are disrupting everyday life in Ukraine. On the round-trip journey, Reuters logged nine evacuations.
Passengers have to leave the trains multiple times and wait outside in the darkness, wrapped in blankets, as Russian drones threaten the route.
According to the state operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, Russia has attacked more than 1,700 rail facilities this year, including stations, locomotives and passenger wagons.
Despite the danger, Ukraine's railway workers continue to keep the trains running.

It remains unclear how the Russian authorities will treat Ukrainians evacuated from Oleshky and whether Russian occupation authorities will provide the residents a legitimate and duress-free choice to return to Ukrainian government-controlled Ukraine.
NEW: Russian President Vladimir Putin used his October 27 call with Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store to reiterate Moscow’s longstanding demands in Ukraine and rearticulate Moscow’s claims that NATO expansion is among the “root causes” of the war. Putin also stated that “root causes” must be resolved as preconditions for any future peace negotiations.
Other Key Takeaways:
Russia and Ukraine began observing a limited ceasefire in Russian-occupied Oleshky, Kherson Oblast, on October 27 to facilitate humanitarian aid deliveries and evacuate civilians from the settlement. Both sides are reportedly abiding by the ceasefire terms as of this writing.
It remains unclear how the Russian authorities will treat Ukrainians evacuated from Oleshky and whether Russian occupation authorities will provide the residents a legitimate and duress-free choice to return to Ukrainian government-controlled Ukraine.
The Russian 26th Tank Regiment (47th Tank Division, 1st Guards Tank Army [GTA], Moscow Military District) operating in the Kupyansk direction is reportedly planning to disband several platoons to create an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) company.
Neither Russian nor Ukrainian forces advanced on October 27.
Russian forces launched an unspecified number of Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles and 280 drones against Ukraine overnight.

The UN secretary-general should be someone with the moral courage to call out the most serious human rights abuses, not a genocide enabler like Lana Nusseibeh, the former United Arab Emirates senior diplomat who repeatedly and falsely denied her government's role in sending arms and mercenaries to the genocidal Rapid Support Forces in Sudan. reuters.com/world/middle-eas…
I just want to sleep right now… These choices feel like a betrayal of everything the UN claims to stand for.
Lana Nusseibeh has been criticised by Human Rights Watch for whitewashing the UAE’s role in Sudan. Yet she is now a candidate for UN Secretary-General? 🤯
And while Russia kills and abducts Ukrainians, Russian diplomat Gleb Desyatnikov is appointed UN Assistant Secretary-General for Mine Action and Police?
What message does this send to the victims? To those still searching for their children, burying their loved ones, or living with the consequences of these wars?
Giving these figures positions of power in the name of peace is so deeply wrong. And sadly, it no longer surprises me.
