One of the great ones. In every single way.
James Darren, who played the holographic lounge singer Vic Fontaine on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, has died at 88. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends and fans.

The Panthermobile. Designed and built in 1969 at a cost of almost $500,000 for the opening and closing titles of the Pink Panther Show. Restored over a five year period (2011-16) by Galpin Auto Sports, after its UK owner - who had paid £88,000 for it - was declared insolvent.

Here's a 1-minute video showing--in the words of visualization hero @EdwardTufte--the "compared to what" factor for today's amazing @NASAWebb image. Thanks to the @WWTelescope for making this possible, and @ADavidWeigel. I only wish @NASA and @POTUS had shown the image this way!

I’m all women’s equality, women’s equality, women can do anything men can do. But then they say they can’t even break through a glass ceiling, and I’m like wow they’re so weak.

When you see someone believing something that is utterly wrong yet with complete confidence, you should think ‘if it’s possible for them to be so confidently wrong, it must also be possible for me to be as well.’

This idea that liberals are all ‘libtards’ and conservatives are all ‘nazis’ is unnecessarily unconstructive as well as utter horseshit. Most people have legitimate reasons for their perspective of the world and it would do us all good to be more understanding of each other.

Somebody replied that seatbelt would be a better analogy. This is precisely wrong & that’s the whole point of my sarcasm. Refuse a seatbelt & you endanger yourself. Refuse mask or lockdown & you endanger OTHERS (according to professional advice – that’s a separate argument).

How about instead of electing leaders we just give all the candidates participation certificates?

I hope you all realise that you've already failed all of the purity tests of the year 2200... So we may as well cut to the chase and cancel everybody.
