Zelensky welcomed a new €500 million Dutch military aid package for Ukraine as the two countries began work on “Bliksem,” a joint air-defense project.

Trump’s deal has failed? American companies are in no rush to buy Russian diesel
Businesses are wary of the legal and reputational risks, The Washington Sun reports.
Trump’s aides are privately urging companies to accept the shipments.
Between October 16 and 22, three tankers — Talisman, Leruo and Agioi Fanendes — departed from the Russian port of Primorsk for the United States. They are carrying a total of 924,000 barrels of diesel.
However, the vessels’ routes are already changing. Analysts estimate that the fuel could ultimately end up in Brazil.
American politicians are also opposing the shipments. A bipartisan group of congressmen has warned banks, ports and distributors of potential legal liability for participating in deals involving Russian fuel.
A 2022 law prohibits its import, and to lift the restrictions, the president must notify Congress 90 days in advance and meet a number of conditions.
The expected drop in US diesel prices has also failed to materialize. Fuel is selling for around $6.30 per gallon — slightly more than when Trump and Putin reached their agreement.

When Russia’s full-scale invasion began, Anne-Catherine Magnette—known by the call sign "Ksena"—arrived in Ukraine as a volunteer. Initially, she coordinated humanitarian efforts and assisted with logistics, but soon realized she could contribute much more.
This courageous Belgian woman, who has Ukrainian roots, has served with the 37th Marine Brigade since the unit’s formation in 2023. Her decision to support the Ukrainian people by enlisting in the military was a deliberate choice; previously, Anne had regularly participated in humanitarian missions, dedicating her life to providing aid.
💪 Throughout her military service, "Ksena" has held various roles. Today, she is training to operate interceptor drones, finding that she is most effective when working with unmanned systems. Despite having an amputated leg, Anne continues to carry out her missions, driven by an iron-clad determination.

A horrific Russian strike on the railway station in Dnipro. The Russians launched a drone attack on a platform where an ordinary commuter train and a scheduled passenger train were standing. Unfortunately, 13 people have been confirmed killed as of now. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Ten more people were injured. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene.
Just how many terrorist strikes has Russia carried out against our people since sanctions were lifted on certain Russian oligarchs and the Russian energy sector, rather than de-escalating? This is precisely why Ukraine has always said that just and decisive action by America and Europe is needed in response to Russian escalation – sanctions against Moscow and its war machine must not be eased for as long as this Russian war continues. It is time for new, stronger sanctions steps by the EU, the United States, and the G7. I thank everyone who is ready to help in this way.
