देशासाठी लढणार्या अग्निवीरांना शासकीय नोकरीत आरक्षण देण्याचा निर्णय आम्ही राज्य मंत्रिमंडळात घेतला होता. त्यानुसार, नियमात आवश्यक ते बदल करुन आता 282 अग्निवीरांना नियुक्ती देण्यास मंजुरी प्रदान करण्यात आली आहे.
केंद्र सरकारकडून महाराष्ट्र राज्याचे अधिवासी असलेल्या 282 नौदल अग्निवीरांची पहिली यादी राज्य सरकारला प्राप्त झाली होती.
त्यानुसार, 150 खलाशी डेकसाईड आणि 132 खलाशी इंजिनसाईड अशा 282 अग्निवीरांना पोलिस शिपाई म्हणून नियुक्ती देण्यात आली आहे आणि तसे आदेशही त्यांना प्रदान करण्यात आले आहेत.
