Joel was one of my first twitter follows when I started Glaucomflecken 10 years ago. I’ve learned so much from him, like how to say osmolality. Still working out what exactly it is, but at least I can pronounce it.
During his Presidents Award speach, @DGlaucomflecken talks about his experience and more importantly his wife's experience following his cardiac arrest. Advising people to show compassion to the co-survivors, the family.

Single-cell sequencing is giving researchers a much closer look at what is happening inside the heart.
By examining gene activity cell by cell, scientists can uncover distinct populations, disease-related changes, and cellular interactions that traditional sequencing may miss. These insights are helping reshape how researchers understand heart failure, fibrosis, arrhythmias, and potential treatment targets.
