The word 'hero' is often used too loosely, eg, used to describe a successful sportsman. An example of a true hero is Captain Smit Machchhar who, despite sustaining serious head injuries, thwarted a hijack attempt & an in-flight attack by his co-pilot.

The Indian pilot who, despite being attacked with an axe and seriously injured mid-air, still found the strength to open the cockpit door — allowing crew and passengers to stop a potential disaster and safely land the plane.
UAE has now honoured him with the prestigious Order of Zayed II (First Class).
True courage. Calm under pressure. An inspiration to every Indian.

Belgian authorities were there and did nothing. The boat was there for 15 to 20 minutes and was easy to to attack and destroy for authorities. They did nothing

Yesterday the world learned of a prestigious new role for former NZ PM Jacinda Ardern.
She is becoming an honorary Professor at University of Sydney to teach
*empathetic leadership
*social cohesion
For the hundreds of thousands of Kiwi's whose lives were decimated through the NZ Covid response decisions.....with was incredulous and trauma inducing news to process.
Do you remember when Ardern appeared on the red couch of the Graham Norton show.
She was asked about the hardcore "haters" in New Zealand....and she appeared to not know why it would be, other than a generalised radicalisation towards "far right" in global politics.

My name is Lynda Wharton. I started a Facebook group in 2021, to help New Zealanders find the Informed Consent information denied to them when they lined up for the Pfizer mRNA.
We grew to 58,000 members before we were de-platformed for telling the truth about mRNA suffering and death.
Our membership was almost exclusively New Zealanders....thousands of them were mRNA injured or bereaved. Thousands more were deeply traumatised as a result of job loss from refusing to take the MANDATED Pfizer mRNA in order to keep their jobs.
In the video below, I am testifying before the New Zealand Royal Commission of Inquiry in July 2025.
You may be surprised to hear what happened to New Zealanders who were injured by a first dose....and then refused a medical exemption from further doses.
I have 2,000 signed emails submitted from New Zealanders with this experience.
I submitted them all to the Royal Commission of Inquiry.

Don’t EVER tell me that Flydubai Captain Smit Machchhar isn’t a hero, or that it was just an ‘altercation’ in the cockpit.
The man is a genuine HERO who saved 174 lives from a scumbag Islamic jihadist who wanted to end 174 lives.

Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke was indeed born in London - but only because her Nigerian mother flew in from Nigeria for a couple of weeks to pop out an anchor baby. As soon as she walked out of the hospital she got on a plane back to Nigeria, and took baby Olukemi with her.
Olukemi is a Nigerian child of two Nigerian parents who grew up in Nigeria. And I will NEVER vote to put a Nigerian in 10 Downing Street.
For the racist little pricks who apparently need this explained: Kemi Badenoch was born in LONDON. She grew up abroad and returned to Britain at 16. She is now 46, married and a mother of three
Disagree with her policies. Challenge her arguments. That’s politics. Treating her skin colour or Nigerian heritage as grounds to question whether she belongs here is racism. Have the backbone to own what you’re doing instead of dressing it up as patriotism.
Britishness is not a whites-only club, and you miserable bigots are not its membership committee.
And any politician who panders to that poison deserves contempt, whatever party badge they wear.

Nearly three years later, I had a chance to actually look in the book since it is now being sold in a museum in Devon!
