The Moscow Times reports 189 people in Russia’s Irkutsk region were hospitalized with suspected plague after contact with a woman who died. Governor Igor Kobzev says the contacts have no symptoms and lab tests are negative.

Again Ukraine appears to have targeted Russia's massive Volgograd oil refinery.
This LUKOIL refinery has/had 15.7 million tonnes of oil annually, making it one of Russia's largest refineries and accounting for roughly 5% of the country's refining.
Located around 300 km from Ukraine, the refinery was built during the Soviet era and began operations in 1957.

Commander Andrii Biletskyi personally spoke with Russian POWs captured during Operation "Vivaldi." In total, the 3rd Army Corps has taken more than 250 enemy soldiers prisoner.
Severe hunger, exhaustion, abandoned casualties, and execution orders for retreating have pushed not just Russian infantry, but also drone operators and mortar crews, to surrender in whole units alongside their officers.

Operation Vivaldi, Season 2 - Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps confirms the liberation of Shandryholove and Derylove. Drobysheve is also under Ukrainian control.
"During the second stage, more than 800 enemy servicemen were killed. Taking the wounded and captured into account, the enemy’s total losses exceeded 3,000 personnel," said Lieutenant General Andrii Biletskyi, commander of the 3rd Army Corps.
So far, Operation Vivaldi liberated 125 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, including 50 square kilometers that were de-occupied.
"During assault operations, UAVs and ground robotic systems always move ahead of the infantry. The 3rd Army Corps was the first in the world to begin deploying ground robotic systems by air. Our heavy bombers deliver Kamikaze ground robotic systems more than 10 kilometers behind enemy lines," General Biletskyi said.

Dobropilla - the biggest ongoing battle of the Ukrainian 🇺🇦 war
The scale of the battle for Dobropilla has rarely been seen before. Russian 🇷🇺 forces are sending hundreds of men on assault everyday, hundreds are being eliminated while the 1st Azov Corps still manages to contain the offensive.
Russia is currently massing 4 armies on a 50km front to attack Dobropilla and advance west of Kramatorsk, the main key city under Ukrainian control in the Donbas. In this direction, Russia is using a massive number of drones and KAB guided bombs, as well as many soldiers.
In recent weeks, they managed to advance south of Dobropilla and secure a foothold north and west of the defensive line 0.5 (incomplete). Despite heavy losses, they advanced (mainly the 51st army) and are threatening the city from the south. Further north, the 41st army didn't manage to progress a lot, despite a lot of infiltrations. They suffered from recent counter-attacks from Ukrainian forces, which managed to clear some infiltrated areas.
Right now, the situation on the Drujkivka front was partially stabilized, not the one near Dobropilla. This is the main place where Russia is currently advancing.

🚨☣️More details on the Oct 1st pneumonic plague outbreak in Siberia, after a lab accident at a BSL-3 lab.
"FSB units accompanying ambulances transporting people who had been in contact with [lab tech] Shipilova for medical examination," as per local news. This is significant. FSB is Russia's domestic security / counterintelligence service, tasked w/implementing the national security of Russia." (Its predecessor was the KGB). This suggests quarantine was not voluntary.
It also means Russian authorities are treating the lab accident and plague outbreak as a national security issue, involving a lot more than routine public health.
