The CGI for the one on the right is actually really detailed and far more consistently good than the left. Its problem is that the directing and cinematography around it is just lackluster. It looks bland bc it’s shot blandly. That’s the advantage of the one on the left.

We’re still needing to clarify this five (six?) projects in?
James Gunn has announced a podcast for ‘THE SUICIDE SQUAD’ where he will reveal what elements of the film are canon to the DCU.

A lot of new filmmakers know that finding a truly talented DP can elevate their film to another level. But here's something that doesn't get talked about enough: finding a genuinely gifted editor can be just as transformational. Maybe more so.

If you're shocked finding out any country has hot people, you have deeply rooted racism guiding your opinions.
Remember when Tyla performed in India and everyone was *shocked* to find out India had baddies 😭😭💀

One conspiracy theory I absolutely will bat for is the idea that "violence is not the answer" is a psy-op disseminated through CIA plants in pop culture media, and nothing can convince me otherwise
“Violence is not the answer” is such a funny attempt at an ideology, because often it is in fact, the exact answer Sometimes the only one, when people make non-violence impossible

It's kind of wild to think of the original Godzilla film being promoted as "Fun and exciting! Adults and children alike will absolutely love it."
『ゴジラ』第一作の新聞広告…惹句の【死の戦慄全人類の破滅迫る】だけど… 【死の戦慄全人】 【類の破滅迫る】 …って分けると、何かホラーっぽくて良いね😅 #真ゴジラの日

no but the premise of demonic possession as a metaphor for SA and the running theme throughout of all the ways misogyny and objectification ruin girls' ability to have agency and awareness of their own desires. don't think enough people appreciate the true sadness of this movie.
Amanda Seyfried says the marketing for Jennifer’s Body ruined what she considers a perfect movie. Amanda Seyfried: “I can’t critique this movie. To me, it’s a perfect movie. It’s got balls.” “Diablo Cody was outspoken and beautiful and smart and funny, and we were expressing a certain angst in a very, very specific comedic way, in a very specific genre.” “The special effects were incredible. There were stunts, there was, like, everything that you could want, and girl-on-girl action.” “If the critics criticized anything, it would be the marketing. The marketing sucked. It just did. And we all agree.” “Karyn is a fierce advocate of women and storytelling. She’s able to enhance the relationships between women on film and TV. She’s very human and very sensitive, and I felt like she cared deeply about the story underneath all of it.” “She got it all and she put it together so beautifully. And the marketing team cheapened it. Like it was just, you know, a romp, a gory romp. I think they ruined it.” “I’m looking forward to the sequel. They’re working on it. I already said thumbs up. I was like, whenever you’re ready, I’m ready.” “I want to play Needy. I love Needy.”

Generally means they need to watch more movies.
Everyone is allowed their opinion as we all have our own tastes, likes and dislikes, but boy do I judge harshly when someone claims they've just seen "the worst" or "one of the worst" movies of all time.

He deserves heat for his negligence on the Palestine situation, but outside of that, I still stand on the position that the people who hated on him are still deranged and inhumane and created a mirror image of themselves in the Snyder cult.
The way Zack was talking on TIFF feels like the online hatred directed at him has started to affect him. The man can't even open his mouth without an army of trolls attacking him for no reason. its just sad to see.

We've sadly hit another puritanical stage of media consumption. Nothing can be sexual, nothing can be overtly violent, nothing can touch heavy topics, nothing can be problematic. If they do we get 400 word essays on why you need to be put on a list for engaging with it.
Why is everyone trying to censor the horror genre suddenly 💀 it’s horror for a reason, which means it’s going to involve sensitive subjects? If you don’t like it or can’t separate fact from fiction maybe don’t consume horror content

A screenplay tells me who you are just as much as who your characters are. I can tell what your intentions are – like whether you're in it to make a quick buck. I can tell if you've lived a life. Fell in love, been in a relationship, had your heart broken. I can tell if you know the people and the world you're writing about or you're just going off what you've seen in other movies. And I can tell what your values are. What you think is important. How you define a hero or a villain. I'm not judging anybody. I'm only judging the work. And maybe this mental picture I have of you is all wrong, but I don't think so. The best writing tells the truth even if most fiction is a made-up lie. And the one thing your writing can't hide is you.

It’s such a perfect summation of Attack on Titan. The mystery of what the Titans are and want, the constant strategizing mankind has to do to defeat them, the intense visuals and score, the conflicts of whether to trust others or your own judgment. It’s all right here.
