Sources: Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark is leaving the conference. Yormark made the decision to leave and is expected to accept a new role outside of college sports in the near future. He’ll be with the league at least through January of 2027.

Last comment I will make on this issue: I ignore literally hundreds of trolls, but the frustrating and laughable irony in this situation is that @DoubleT973 asks me to be a guest on their shows on a very regular basis, and their entire business is based on their relationships with our programs and the people, like me, who are deeply involved with them. Then one of their “producers” uses his personal/professional account to publicly and unprofessionally tell me to “shut up” - This joker didn’t even go to Tech. Meanwhile I’ve poured my life into Texas Tech and done everything I can to make it the best I can make it since I was a player 25 years ago. With respect to the First Amendment: we have the right to talk (or not talk) to anybody we want. If a decision is made to not talk to them for a while, I (personally) and we (as an institution) have the right to do as we please.
