NEW: State lawmakers are going to make the city of Charlotte and other municipalities repay the money spent to develop the I77 toll lanes, per an amendment filed today. That's roughly $60 million, and the draft legislation says new transportation sales tax revenue can't be used.>

We will have a first-time dancer from the ASUN! First-year eligible Queens just knocked off Austin Peay, 90-83. The Royals take on Central Arkansas tomorrow in the ASUN Finals, with both getting the chance to make history! #ASUN

The Charlotte Hornets are 16-27 but with a total point differential of exactly 0 for the season. 4-12 record in "clutch" games is killing them, but something interesting is brewing there.

In his 24th season on the sidelines, Milwaukee head coach Bart Lundy becomes only the 22nd active NCAA coach to reach 500 career wins, at all levels. He has done so winning at a .678 clip – with a short list of around only 40 coaches all-time reaching that plateau. Bart Lundy can coach this game. @MKE_MBB

AI, ORALITY, AND THE GOLDEN AGE OF GRIFT In today's newsletter, I go back to Ong-posting to try to answer the question of why grift is so out in the open these days. Why don't people feel shame and the impulse to obfuscate? Why don't other people react more judgmentally?
