The smoke detector waited until 3 a.m. to mention the battery. Had all fucking day.

You can spend five years building a good reputation at work and lose it in five days because the wrong person decides they don’t like you.

Someone needs to build an app called LinkedOut where employees share the real reasons they quit their toxic jobs.

On my way to vote for a bunch of Republicans I don't necessarily like. To stick it to a bunch of Communists I can't stand.

PLEASE don’t judge any teenagers trick or treating. Let them hold onto any innocence this world hasn’t stole from them.

Maybe I’m just old school, but when someone was telling a story you'd already heard, you didn't interrupt to announce it. You let them finish. Especially grandparents. Sometimes the joy was in telling it, not whether you'd heard it before.

Unless I'm working in an ER, working as a paramedic, or working as a firefighter, there's no reason I should be expected to "thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment." Just fix the terrible management and stop running your office like a circus.

After COVID, people's social skills have drastically declined. Many have less patience for each other, and simple interactions can feel awkward. Everyone seems more comfortable staying home and avoiding people.

I swear SOMETHING broke in society since 2020 and nobody wants to talk about it.
And I’m not talking about masks, lockdowns, or COVID. I mean the FEELING of life.
Everything reopened. We went back to work. Restaurants filled up. Events came back. But somehow life still feels… different.
Years disappear faster. People feel more disconnected. Everything feels more expensive, stressful & rushed.
And somehow we’re all constantly exhausted. I can’t even explain exactly what we lost. I just know life before 2020 felt more ALIVE.
Tell me I’m not the only one who feels this.
