I wouldn’t say we’re a soft team , instead of addressing that, I think we should talk about overstaying a shift in OT or showing up to camp out if shape 14 months ago.
Time to squeeze the Lemon @Eagles let’s see what the kid can do.
No less than 8-10 targets this week.

This.
The narrative has become that firing Tocchet and even trading people isn't going to "fix" the Flyers.
Thats not the point. The point is start now and hope you havent set your "rebuild" back 5 years because you made a poor decision on a coach or player.

Tocchet took every opportunity to rip Michkov last year about his off-season. 15 games in after MM had a stellar off-season and is 5th in the NHL in goals on a team that can’t score and Tocchet takes another shot at him.
No clue how the front office can do nothing about this.

A pattern you say?
"Now that we've connected these dots, it gets to a criticism of Rick Tocchet going back to Vancouver and Elias Pettersson...man it does sure seem like this is a pattern with this coach, focusing on one guy, who he just, for whatever reason...focusing on perhaps a team's best or most productive player... I don't see how this [criticizing Michkov] is productive in the least."
Flyers fans looking into the draft by the end of October....yep, here we are.
Preliminary #2027NHLDraft ranking:

2. Dima Zhilkin

If you told me before the season started, the Flyers thru 15 games would be 3-12 and Coots would be calling them soft and Tocchet was taking shots at Michkov even though Mich was 7th in the NHL in goals....I couldn't fathom this all possible and yet, that is exactly where we are

The Flyers have 29 goals in 15 games.
McDavid has 36 points in 13 games.
He might end up with more points than the Flyers have goals. This is madness.
Flyers have only won 7 of their last 25 games, scoring 50 goals.
A NHL team scoring 2.00 G/GP over that long of a stretch is embarrassing. This team has too much talent to be this inept offensively.
Enough with Tocchet Hockey & bring an offensive mind in to develop talent.
Flyers are going to dress Benoit on Sunday to help address the soft issue.....
Keeping Hathaway or DLo is not it.
Soft is the compete level, not adding some big bruiser who can't play.
TyFo is a big dude playing soft. That's the type of issue and what Coots means by soft.
I'm a glass is 3/4 full guy, I get accused of being too positive when it comes to this team.
If you've lost me, you've lost pretty much everyone.
I hated the Tocchet hire and I hate it more now.
Changes are needed and not signing a Bunting or the Captain saying mean things.
Not only are the Flyers 3-12 this season, they lost 6 of their last 7 playoff games.
so 4-18 in the last 22 games played I believe.
Crazy thing is, for the most part they're getting solid goaltending and the PP isn't horrid.
They should be better and yet they're way worse.
After last nights loss Coots calling the team soft (they have been) and Tocc throwing Mich under the bus(he did, spin it how you want)
Mich on pace for 50 goals and Tocc still going after him. Yes MM stayed out too long in OT but come on.
You likely don't recover from this.
Coots ain’t wrong and he knew saying soft would have ramifications. The entire hockey world is running with it.
Gonna be an interesting 3 days off.
TyFo lead the Flyers in ice time by forwards at 19:19.
It’s baffling to me that Tocchet is watching what we’re watching and he’s thinking yeah, I have to give this guy more ice.
I like TyFo, don’t wrong but I’m not getting this at all.
