Denied my right to vote locally
I showed up to vote today. I'm a candidate on the ballot. They told me I had to drive to Norwalk to vote in person. (35 miles from Santa Monica).
Not because of my registration. They said all candidates have to vote there. This is incorrect.
Elections Code 14310 is clear. If they can't confirm you on the spot, you get a provisional ballot. They must offer it. They didn't.
The LA County representative was uneducated in this process. This is the organization we deal with. This is why people don't want to run for office. This is why people don't want to vote. LA County's organization is absolutely atrocious.

Here's the DOJ's application to SCOTUS for an injunction pending appeal in USA vs. State of CA, seeking to have ballots returned from people on a list of 20,000 likely noncitizens segregated and not tabulated until citizenship can be determined.

California has refused to work with the Federal Government to protect against noncitizen voting, which dilutes lawful votes, so @TheJusticeDept has filed an emergency application with the Supreme Court to require California to segregate mail-in ballots associated with more than 20,000 likely noncitizens until their citizenship can be verified.
We will continue pursuing every available legal avenue to protect the integrity of our elections and ensure federal law is enforced.
The county site has no working replacement for unclaimed persons.
And a deeper problem. Even if the page is put back, the search still wouldn't work.
The site's live JavaScript sends unclaimed searches to api-qa.wppro.lacounty.gov, which looks like a test server and this address doesn't exist anymore. Two related search endpoints on the site are also returning server crash errors right now.
