Please help me understand something. If a person convicted of 34 felonies, serves no jail time, is under several indictments for serious crimes that are likely to disappear, is known for sexual misconduct, but can be elected to the highest office in tbe U.S., what rationale is there for continuing to withhold the civil rights of felons who have actually paid their debt to society ? The constitutional amendment for restoration of rights needs to pass in Virginia. We all know why the voting rights of convicted persons were removed in the first place—blatant racism.
