Your work help shape me into the person I am today. I learned so much from your work on Star Trek, X-Men, the Forgotten Realms, Skyrim, Moby Dick and so many others.
Not as an actor, as a human. You embodied kindness, grace, love, intelligence, passion, and strength. Through your stories and your life you showed that the strongest men learn, compromise, and make the difficult choices.
I learned what leadership looked like.
I was a child that held a lot of righteous fury in her heart. I learned from your stories that, even if morally correct, such a fire can consume you until there is nothing left. That in the pursuit of what you believe to be right, there needs to be a line that goes uncrossed.
I was just telling my partner the other week that when you left this mortal plane, I would not be okay.
Turns out, I am.
Because your stories will live on.
Thank you for everything.
Commander Will Riker actor Jonathan Frakes pays tribute to his “Star Trek” co-star Patrick Stewart:
“There’s no one on this planet that I have acted with or directed more often than my late great friend Patrick Stewart. He will be with me forever. May he rest in Peace.”

We lost one of the greats of stage and screen today. And, in my book, a tremendous friend and man. I learned so much from him. I will miss you, Patrick Stewart, all of my days. @mang0ld

This was the moment I had dream of, the moment I had feared. Patrick Stewart walking onto the bridge of the USS Enterprise that I had recreated. Would he hate it would he love it. What would this moment feel like. For months we agonized over every detail, then the moment came and he walked onto the bridge and moved to the chair that had helped define his career and he sat down. I clicked the shot as that smile fell over his face. This is how I will remember him. Such an honor to have had the opportunity to work with such an extraordinary individual. He will be greatly missed.

If you haven't had the chance. Listen to his autobiography on audiobook as he narrates it himself. I listened to it on one long roadtrip during a very challenging time and it's truly a gift.

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

Replying to @SirPatStew
The most impactful line that he delivered on screen imo. So applicable to all facets of life.
Geordi La Forge actor LeVar Burton pays tribute to his “Star Trek” co-star Patrick Stewart:
“He was family. There is no other context in which to hold him that makes sense. I am lucky to have known and loved so many of the facets of a soul so rich in talent and generous of heart. Of all the Dames and Knights I’ve known he was deep down-the silliest.”
