If someone ran a marathon and someone else drove 26 miles, I wouldn’t praise the driver just for reaching the same finish line
the double standards are actually insane

Microsoft just made $133.7 BILLION in net income last year. Today they announced they are getting rid of 60,000 workers. Fuck these companies man.

Anthropic just filed to go public. Buried in its SEC filing are some absolutely insane admissions: 1.) AI could cause human extinction. 2.) Models have exhibited self-preservation behaviors. 3.) AI has attempted to resist shutdown. 4.) Models have demonstrated blackmail and deception. 5.) AI may recognize when it's being tested and deliberately change its behavior. 6.) Advanced AI could undermine governments and institutions. 7.) AI could concentrate unprecedented power and wealth. 8.) Future AI systems could surpass the world's leading human experts. 9.) AI could become increasingly difficult for humans to control. 10.) Anthropic acknowledges that developing more powerful AI could increase the risk of catastrophic harm. These are disclosures from the company building the technology.
Anthropic has filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC related to its proposed IPO. Odd that AI keeps hacking information that tech companies happen to really want access to...

So apparently Im a monster. I read a book in 3.5 hours. Averages 2.3 pages a minute. The average median is considered 11.5 hour. And a speed reader reads that book in7.5 hours.

Ok no Idk what that website I saw was on about cause another website says if you can read 300wpm it's about 4.5 hours. I tested about 400wpm so yeah that makes more sense.

Hi, former game studio animator here! I don't know why this is resurfacing again, but please understand the amount of work that is put into animation! Multiple drawings while being a one-man army for a task that is usually split amongst different people is not easy :')
Opening Animation Commissions again! 🎨 Info in replies👇

Your Samsung TV doesn't have a microphone. But it knows where to find one. A soundbar. A Bluetooth speaker. Any connected device with audio input. The TV hunts for it. Finds it. Uses it. All without asking permission. A config file called csapi-tv-service-alwaysonvoice. Always on. Always listening. Never stops. The TV listens through your soundbar. Classifies the audio before shipping it off. Dog barking event. Counts it. Sends it. Baby crying event. Counts it. Sends it. How long the camera streamed. Counts it. Sends it. Sensor preferences. Counts it. Sends it. All wrapped in telemetry. All going back to Samsung. @log4j found it in the firmware October 23. Posted about it. Twitter caught fire. Samsung calls it Q-Symphony. A feature. A unified sound ecosystem. Five Samsung devices talking together. Optimizing channel distribution. Sounds nice. Also means five microphones reporting back. The TV presents it as convenience. You get better audio. Samsung gets everything you say. A soundbar you bought to make your movie louder. Became a microphone you didn't know you owned. Samsung didn't hide it. Just didn't mention it. In the privacy policy. In the manual. In the setup screen. Just assumed you'd never check the config files. Now researchers are checking the config files. And finding microphones everywhere.
this is pretty evil and clever. so if your samsung TV model doesnt have a microphone, it will look for connected devices with one, such as a soundbar or a connected bluetooth device. this gets shipped off to bixby.

As much as I like doing them, I think that'll be the last outfit I make for a while. They take up a lot of time to put together and also cost money, which I don't earn back in the streams I make them for 😣

Tim Sweeney is criticizing Valve again over Steam’s requirement for developers to disclose their use of generative AI. The Epic Games CEO called the policy “abhorrent,” arguing that developers are being forced to make a “political statement” that could be used against them by a “hate mob.” Sweeney has been criticizing the policy since 2025, previously comparing the disclosure to a “Scarlet Letter” and arguing that AI will eventually be part of almost every game production process.

Just got out of the theater to see Wildwood Holy shit. It might honestly be the BEST movie I have ever seen. I cannot put into words how good this film is. You HAVE to go see it in theaters PLEASE!!! Easily one of those “I don’t know how to go back to my daily life now” movies.

So Walmart no longer carries movies. At all... Well guess I have literally zero reasons to ever go to Walmart again. I was already hard pressed to go with their WORTHLESS staff, all immigrants who literally don't speak English, now the one thing they had no one else did is gone.
