Do we talk enough about burnout in dysfunctional countries? The fatigue that comes from working in bare-minimum facilities and watching mediocrity being routinely rewarded. The near-despair that comes from endlessly documenting waywardness that never meets with consequences.😮‍💨

It is disturbing that @OleItumbi does NOT seem to understand the constitutional role of a Senator! But knowing that this is yet another attempt to run a propaganda campaign against @edwinsifuna, allow me to educate Dennis on the functions of the Senate and expose this misguided attempt to deflect accountability from where it rightfully belongs: the Nairobi City County Government. Article 96 of the Constitution of Kenya is explicit. The Senate represents and protects the interests of counties, participates in legislation concerning counties, determines the allocation of national revenue among counties, and exercises oversight over national revenue allocated to county governments. The Senate does NOT manage county departments or implement county programmes! Under Article 183, those responsibilities fall to the County Executive. Meanwhile, Article 185 assigns the County Assembly the responsibility of overseeing the County Executive. Now, Dennis, tell us: how exactly does the Senator become responsible for the operational failures of the County Government? A Senator can and should be held accountable for failures in oversight. Oversight is not implementation. Hold elected leaders accountable, certainly. But at least have the intellectual honesty to distinguish constitutional mandates from political convenience!

Literature remains undefeated. What Ruto is doing with Talanta stadium is exactly what Mr Tumbo did in Betrayal in the city and also what Meya Majoka did in Kigogo. Organize grand events at high costs while failing to address the basic grievances of the local people

William Ruto has paid a whooping Ksh 10 Billion to bring Bayern vs Ajax match to Kenya on January. Apparently Lecturers have been strike for a months due to no Salaries but Bayern & Ajax match is very important. Apparently Kenyans are facing High living cost due to hiked fuel prices but Bayern Vs Ajax match is very important to Kenyans. Companies have shutdown & Kenyans have closed their businesses because of the high levies, unfortunately the levies will be paid for Bayern Vs Ajax players. Ruto is try everything possible to win youths but it's too late, hundreds of youths were abducted, tortured and killed by his Government.

Ksh 700 million would ease immediate cash-flow pressures such as portions of unpaid salaries, part-time lecturer arrears (around Ksh 4.7B total), and some statutory or supplier bills across a few universities. It could also fund limited scholarships or basic operations short-term. The sector’s pending bills still total Ksh 70-100 billion, so deeper gaps in staffing, infrastructure and overall funding would persist.

Nairobi National Park is not empty land waiting for a parking lot or a concrete conference hall. It is part of our critical national infrastructure. Beyond drawing global tourism, it is the literal lungs of our capital, providing essential air purification, micro-climate regulation, flood mitigation, and water catchment management for millions of citizens.
We win when we, the people, come together. Today’s Court order to halt construction and other works inside Nairobi National Park is an affirmation that the People’s Power is superior to the people in power. I celebrate and salute all those who braved tear gas, defied unlawful arrests, and stared down the rogue regime to protect the Park. Your courage is the bedrock of our democracy. The fight is not over. But we must celebrate every victory as we prepare to fight tomorrow for our sovereignty, for our heritage.

Registration of voters continues at each of the 290 IEBC constituency offices, at its HQ & various Huduma Centres. Since, it seems, IEBC is intent on voter registration suppression, the people will need to fill this gap and keep beating the registration drums!
Only 49 percent of eligible female voters are registered to vote 🙃

Former Chief Justice David Maraga has claimed that Kenya is increasingly becoming a centre for transnational repression, warning that the country is losing its reputation as a safe haven for political dissidents and human rights defenders. Maraga said Nairobi had for years provided refuge for people fleeing political persecution, war and repression in their home countries but claimed the situation had changed. #starkenyanews

On 30th June 2026, the High Court declared the Cabinet’s composition unconstitutional for violating the two-thirds gender principle under Article 27. Today marks the expiry of the 120-day deadline for the President to comply. We await the outcome.
In a 2–1 judgment delivered yesterday by a three-Judge Bench, the Court held that the current composition of the Cabinet is unconstitutional for failing to comply with the 2/3 gender principle enshrined in Article 27 of the Constitution. Consequently, the Court directed the President to make the requisite appointments within 120 days to ensure that the composition of the Cabinet conforms to the constitutional requirement on gender representation.

Sometimes you have to wonder whether we are dreaming or whether our priorities as a country are completely upside down! In June, Harambee Stars were left stranded in a hotel lobby in South Africa over an accommodation payment dispute. In September, our players reportedly boycotted training over unpaid allowances, Coach Benni McCarthy revealed that his work permit remained unresolved more than a year after his appointment and yet we are about to host Afcon!! Now we are preparing to bring Bayern Munich and Ajax to Kenya to inaugurate our new stadium that cost twice what it was meant to cost at tje expense of Kenyans. Am trying to understand how we can explain organising an international sporting spectacles while our own athletes and footballers struggle to receive basic support? Our university lecturers have been on strike for the longest the damage this has caused runs so deep, schools struggle with delayed capitation, Counties are burdened by debt, Families are struggling to put meals on the table. And our own sportsmen and women still face financial and administrative hurdles. Juzi tu, Kiarie, our skating sensation, was struggling to afford his ticket! What exactly are our priorities as a country? Is development about the excitement of hosting global stars, or building a system where Kenyan talent can thrive long after the visitors have left? We cannot keep celebrating the potential of Kenyan sports while neglecting the people who carry our flag. But hey, lets import a team from Europe to entertain us as Kasongo attempts to hoodwink us!! As usual the ones for "Atleast lets give it to Kasongo for this one" have already started their noise! Ruto Must Go!

The interesting thing is that from midnight, any decision or action taken by any Cabinet Secretary, including this one, will potentially be challenged in court since the Cabinet's constitutionality is in question nitter.cf/Kenyans/status/2115652…

When someone shows you who they are, believe them. Ruto's made it clear, on countless occasions, that he holds Kenya & Kenyans in utter disdain and contempt. If he came across any of us running from a burning house, he'd throw us right back into the fire. Tuto-do?
A whole president alitoa circular ya an important announcement kutuambia European clubs zinakuja kucheza friendly match. In a country where citizens are dying because their basic heathcare is not guaranteed. Lakini😂
