The High Court has rejected lawyer Dr Alan Shonubi's application to unfreeze his law firm's bank account, which was attached following a Shs 100 million land payment dispute.
Sal Oil wanted to buy land in Pallisa. Dr Shonubi identified the sellers, and the company paid Shs 100m into Shonubi's law firm's account in Stanbic Bank as part payment for the land valued at Shs 350m.
However, it had been agreed that the law firm's account would only act as an "escrow account" for this transaction, meaning the money in it was not available to any party, including Shonubi, until each side had met its duties.
The land deal fell apart, and when Sal Oil got a court order to have the money it had paid released, the bank said only Shs 5 million remained on the account.
The account was attached, forcing Dr Shonubi to file an application seeking to have it reopened.
The application was dismissed. Justice Farouq Lubega ordered Stanbic Bank to provide documents regarding who withdrew the other Shs 95 million. @BbegMedia

DISTURBING! Fear friends 😭! On 14th February, this beautiful lady, Roselyn Ashanti Mchuna, woke up in high spirits since it was her birthday. She was doing well at the time with a chain of AirBnb businesses in several towns. To celebrate this milestone, Chunna as she is fondly referred by family and friends threw a lavish birthday party.
Unknown to her, among the 'friends' a snake was smithering with jealous. Chunna was allegedly poisoned according to Doctors treating her. She collapsed at the party, taken to hospital, never to talk, walk, see or eat again. For months she was in the ICU. According to the doctors, she suffered 50% brain damage.
Even after the family reported the matter as an attempted murder, nobody was ever summoned or arrested. Chunna is now under the care of her mom.

Bamutakudde receives 300 local chicken for the local egg production project.
A while now I have been sharing with you about the 30 local chicken per household model which we want to pioneer as a project to increase household income for our people in Bamutakudde. Well, for the last three weeks we have been preparing poultry houses in every household. We also did a 2 weeks training on chicken farming.
I am pleased to inform you that the first batch of local chics has arrived. We are grateful to TK chicken farm for this great donation of 300 chicken. Together, they have donated to us 500 chics. We shall distribute these chicken to at least 10 households for starters.

Ras ..I know you have joined Essay Twitter but please use paragraphs...this write-up reads like transcribing Andrew Mwenda speaking
Married women will be sneaking around with you then one day just break down and cry from the slightest minute romantic gesture from their husband & confess everything, she will see him seething & foaming & will suspiciously not even give you a heads up, meanwhile you didn't know they were married, you get up at midday to commotion because there's a guy who's poured petrol around the goat pen and is threatening to set the farm on fire if you don't come out, you've never seen him in your life, there was no sign he existed, she's been coming to you, your farm staff have seen her, you call the police then go out, you ask him what the problem is, he accuses you loudly enough for the farm hands to hear, you ask him to show you the image of his wife, you take one look at her and tell him that's your cousin's woman in the next home, beauty of family genes, he kinda looks like you, you know the bank is looking for him for a scam he pulled, so you furiously ask them man to pay you 2 million for nearly damaging the farm or you call the police, suspiciously the same amount as school fees your niece & nephew need as fees balance, you farm hands know what's happening and pick farm implements, he knows he's outnumbered, makes a wire transfer, bank to your mobile, then furiously heads to the cousin's family home, who jumps out of window immediately after seeing him approach thinking it's a bank hired bailiff, the husband is a Kampala man, he's never run a day in his life since he left high school, so stands no chance.
You call the wife & berate her, then end the call before she explains.
The whole village, even those that thought you had no "fire" now know you're not to be ridiculed, you come out of this skirmish with money, slightly bruised ego, slight shame, but respect from the village.
You send the farm hands to share ugx 300k & an innocent goat loses their life later that evening in your place.

Please, Make THANKING GOD (and People) a lifelong habit and practice. I mean intentional, detailed, heartfelt and consistent Thanksgiving, at all times.
In a short while you would begin to experience an unusual supply of Grace in your life.
There is a connection between the word CHARIS (Grace) and THANKSGIVING in the New Testament. Do a short study on this and you will see for yourself.
There’s also a connection between Thanksgiving and humility. Because gratitude takes the attention off you and fixes on another. It admits and acknowledges good and favour done by others. That in itself is an expression of humility. And James says God gives more grace to the humble.
If you engage this consistently, over time you would begin to notice remarkable changes and growth in your life and walk with God, something no one can away from you. This has been one of my major life’s hack. Try this and thank me later 🙂.
THANK YOU JESUS !
