I can't imagine what they think when they see the bitter life in Eritrea. And they say it is domestic. It is beyond domestic, guys. It is even hard to give it a name or a level. We are not talking about something missing within democracy or a failure within the broader administration. But in Eritrea's case, it is different and too far from normal. Please don't underestimate it — it is beyond domestic. #Eritrea #HumanRights #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJPropaganda

If you ask me what dream I had today: The government of Eritrea made a deal with a drone company, and every Eritrean sent 1K dollars to that company. An Eritrean abroad was happy about this I woke up and came back from the dream. (PFDJ supporter in diaspora) #Eritrea #HumanRights #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJPropaganda

For 35 years, the public has never seen any real benefit. The regime has started different wars at different times. There is usually public propaganda once a war begins, as in the 1998-2000 Eritrea-Ethiopia war, but we have never seen anything like what the Ethiopian government is doing today — openly declaring "Assab is Ethiopia's," "the Red Sea is Ethiopia's," and questioning the very existence of Eritrea. This situation is advantageous for the regime, which does not care about sovereignty. For it, this is a fertile time to destroy Eritrea: to continue its round-ups and its forced recruitment of all ages and all sectors of society, going from bad to worse. #Eritrea #HumanRights #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJPropaganda

How long will African leaders wage proxy wars? We have seen a number of conflicts and wars in Africa, specifically in the Horn. Country against country, and worst of all, civil war. Both are still continuing. But most of them, including the civil wars, are proxy wars. And overall, military equipment at all levels has become a business and a market. #Eritrea #HumanRights #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJPropaganda

It’s deeply troubling to hear @nahlav UN Coordinator in Eritrea speak of progress while gross human rights violations have been extensively documented & Eritreans denied right to live as human beings? Where is the accountability?

#Eritrea @KjetilTronvoll @Dabrahameritrea Eritreans The time is now to stand up for our national sovereignty, demand that the PFDJ regime urgently implement the Constitution, release all political prisoners, and ensure that the people of Eritrea have the opportunity to make their voices heard. We should always Embracing peaceful and consistency with all neighboring countries.

South African Chinese community: There is a long-established Chinese South African population. Chinese people have lived in Johannesburg since the late 19th century. There are multi-generational “local” Chinese South Africans & recent immigrants. @JacintaNgobese @MoyaProf
A Chinese man, Hai Shi, running for Ward 103, City of Johannesburg. Under the ANC. The People's Councillor. And there is silence. No marches. No burning tyres. No hashtags. No Operation Dudula van with loudspeakers shouting "foreigners must go." No press conference asking for his passport, his papers, his ancestry. No one asking how long he has been here, or if he is "really South African." Now imagine if that face on that yellow poster was Nigerian. Or Zimbabwean. Or Malawian. Or Mozambican. South Africa would be ungovernable by sunset. A Chinese national from 10,000 km away in Asia can become "The People's Councillor" in Johannesburg and we call it diversity, We have been taught to be Afrophobic, not xenophobic.~@Mzanziawake ~Speaks

"Khedra", "awliE", and "meley"are some of the names Eritreans passionately refer to their original national flag. Ebro Ahmed, an African American from Minnesota, jumped onto a moving bus to save 19 school children and the driver who was incapacitated, he became a national hero earning global praise. However there was some confusion about his background that even mainstream media outlets kept referring to him as Somali when he kept saying he was Eritrean. A more light hearted debate was also going on between some Somali and Eritreans each claiming him as their own. I thought I use the opportunity to introduce people to "meley" and the historic bond between Eritrean and Somali people that many may not know about.- Ahmed Abdelrehim #Somalia #eritrea #african #ebro_ahmed

HGDEF embassies engage in many activities, but not the core responsibilities expected of an embassy. Having alienated itself from the Eritrean people, it will not come close to the level of attendance or financial contributions it once had.

On Friday evening Oct 17, Saba Abraham, 24, a youth worker for Hägersten-Älvsjö municipality, was shot dead on the upper floor of Kämpetorpshallen sports hall in Älvsjö, Stockholm. At the exact same time, hundreds of children were inside the same complex playing football and floorball matches and attending a school disco next door. She was described by the prosecutor as "a completely ordinary woman" with no known threat against her, and died of her injuries on Saturday. As of today Oct 20, two men in their late teens have been arrested in Flemingsberg, suspected of committing the murder together, and a third teenager was arrested today for accessory to murder. All are not from Stockholm, all deny the crime, and according to the prosecutor they did not appear to know the victim. The prosecutor has until Tuesday noon to request remand, and says the motive is still unclear, with investigators looking into whether it was revenge linked to a relative being on a so-called "death list." Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer called it "very, very disturbing" because this happened in a public place where children were playing. When a place built for kids to play football becomes a place where the youth worker who protects them is executed, it's no longer just gang crime, it's an attack on society itself. Saba went to work where children feel safe. She never came home. Justice for Saba, and safety for every sports hall in Sweden. May God rest her soul in Heaven. swedenherald.com/article/pro… dailynorthern.com/article/st… swedenherald.com/article/thi… dailynorthern.com/article/st… #Eritrea #HumanRights #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJPropaganda

Shaebia’s backwardness and lack of vision are exposed when it takes pride in images of coastal city buildings constructed during the colonial era by the Italians, British, and Turks. Even today, it remains trapped in the past. @Habtishgreat @HornReview

The biggest loss of all is that the Eritrean regime has done nothing to improve the lives of the Eritrean people. In fact, the reality is quite the opposite.

Is this a disease, madness, or something else entirely? Many PFDJ supporters are doing the same thing. Listen to this woman, the sister of a disappeared General Habtetsion Hadgu and the guy a brother of disappeared one by PFDJ. The brothers, sisters, wives, husbands, sons and daughters of kidnapped and disappeared people — military commanders, government officials and ordinary citizens — still support the brutal regime in Eritrea. Can you imagine missing a loved one for 25 years because of this regime, and still supporting it from the diaspora? #Eritrea #HumanRights #BlueRevolution #TransnationalRepression #NoMorePFDJPropaganda facebook.com/share/r/1FKGywQ… facebook.com/share/v/1QXuH5V…
