WATCH: ActionAid Uganda has called for sustainable debt reforms and increased climate financing to help communities cope with the growing impacts of climate change. Country Director Samuel Ntale made the remarks today in Namutumba District during Climate Justice Week of Action, which promotes awareness of climate change and people-led solutions. He said high debt-servicing costs are limiting governments’ fiscal space to respond to climate-related shocks, potentially forcing them to take on more debt when communities are already facing prolonged droughts and flooding.

IGG AND ACTIONAID INTERNATIONAL UGANDA HEAD DISCUSS FURTHER COLLABORATION IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION
The Inspector General of Government (IGG) paid a courtesy call on the Country Director of @actionaiduganda Mr. Samuel Ntale, at his office in Kansanga today.
The two heads discussed areas of continued collaboration in the fight against corruption and the promotion of integrity, accountability and good governance in Uganda.
The discussions highlighted the longstanding partnership between @IGGUganda and @actionaiduganda particularly through joint anti-corruption initiatives.
These include the Anti-Corruption Caravan, which has traversed various regions of the country to raise public awareness and mobilize citizens against corruption and the National Citizens' Integrity Awards, an annual initiative that recognises and celebrates individuals and organisations that demonstrate exemplary integrity, accountability and outstanding service delivery.
The IGG and her host reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration and advancing citizen engagement in the prevention and elimination of corruption in Uganda.
