finally managed to fit one of these beauties😍 courtesy of the wonderful @PaulCurran82 who sent some over to the Continent for me to try. only played about an hour so far, but boy is it nice not to have to wait for the tip to settle in. feels really comfy from the first shot. strong recommendation so far. #cuetips

A statement on yesterday…..
Everything I said in that interview was true. However, rest assured I’m doing my best to turn things round.
I have been in a mental health clinic for the last 10 weeks, finally discharging so I could attempt to play in Belfast
I owed that to my family, in particular my daughter to see me play for what could be the last time….. I also owed it to the fans who have supported me throughout my 21 years on tour
I also owed that to World Snooker who have been amazing from day on in all this, in particular Simon Brownell and Neil Tomkins who have remained in touch regularly, even Simon paying me a visit in the clinic itself
I’m not ok, but I’m ok in that itself. I’ve been much worse in the last few months than you saw yesterday. I literally didn’t see a future in anything…..
My daughter kept me going, the therapists, staff and all the other patients were amazing and helped me through some really dark days
I see the light now that I couldn’t see before but I do now. I also know it won’t happen overnight. I’m a work in progress!!! My fight and determination on the table has always been there for ones to see. I need to show those same fighting qualities off it now for a while
Please don’t detract anything from Jordan yesterday, he’s been aware of my struggles and that can’t have been easy to play in but he handled it with grace and skill as I knew he would. Im proud to call him a friend
I hope the rest of the event is a success and I will continue my treatments going forward and then see what’s ahead
Thank you to every single message I have received on here, instagram, Facebook, text messages and WhatsApp’s, I’ve seen them all but a bit overwhelmed to reply right now. Just know that they have helped me a lot but I’m not going anywhere just yet!!!! I have so much to live for and this is only the beginning of my new journey
Also, I was not made to do any interviews, I was simply given a choice and felt I owed it to everyone to speak. The media team at WST have been incredible through all this too
Thank you all x
„Next on table two: those two shrinking violets, Hossein Vafaei and Matt Selt” the one and only @davehendon everybody 😂
That makes two absolutely fantastic interviews in a row @TalkingSnooker
Ali Carter and Matthew Stephens back to back with really deep insights and meaningful conversation. more of that, please.

On my second listen to this, Matthew Stevens does not do many interviews, so it shows the trust he must’ve had in @philhaigh_ and @Nick_Metcalfe to talk about something so personal. Thank you @TalkingSnooker for bringing us this brilliant episode
On this day, I really hope that even twenty years later “Plan B” is still regularly in operation wherever he may be.

2026/27 Season - SIXTH UPDATE 👇
Same faces in the Top 32 this time around, but a fair few positions have been juggled about following Wu's victory in Shenzhen. As was the case on a couple of occasions last season—congratulations to all the True Beyizers 👏
Massive shout-out to a wonderful fellow Robbo fanatic, @adrienne_cgn, for being the ONLY entrant out of all 135 to have Yuan Sijun in their squad. Tremendous work that, earning a richly deserved rise of 18 places into fourth.
(Another shout-out to @KimKristensen72 for having 1,479,000 points 🤭)

In the final, Yuan made a 71 break but still lost the 8th frame.
Here you can see all 17 cases in which someone lost a frame after making a 70+ break in the past 2 yrs.
To put into perspective just how rare this is, there have been 11,068 70+ breaks in the same period.

A note on Chinese names
Most Chinese surnames consist of one single character~
Although a small number of Chinese surnames have two characters, all Chinese snooker players so far have one-character surname~
This means that when a player’s Chinese name has three characters, it is usually very easy to identify which character is the surname and which part is the given name~
Chinese given names are typically chosen by parents or elders, and they often carry positive meanings, hopes, and blessings~😺🫶🏻
there it is again: Jimmy Robertson gets over line against Chris Wakelin. Huge moment for Jimmy, and Chris will certainly have congratulated him warmly. Sadly, as has been the case for many Chinese tournaments, the director cuts away just before the handshake to show spectators rising from their seats to leave. 🤷🏻♂️ that will never not rub me the wrong way. 😠
just listened to one of the most interesting snooker interviews in recent years on @TalkingSnooker
@TheCaptain147 is probably the most misunderstood guy on tour. although almost everyone knows about his struggles in life, he still seems to get as much stick from people as @Magician147 just for being himself.
from genuine laughter to tears in my eyes, I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. these 90 minutes are definitely worth your time.
A pleasure to be joined by Ali Carter for a wide-ranging chat with the English Open champ.
A lot here from @TheCaptain147 on his Brentwood glory, brilliant career, rivalries, health battles, mindset and loads more.
