In Tripura, along the India-Bangladesh border, the BSF detained a man named Hafizur Rahman over suspected smuggling. After his detention, a group of people attacked a BSF team, injuring several soldiers and damaging a BSF vehicle.
And how did India Today report it?
First, it reported that a BSF jawan had harassed a local man, which triggered anger among the locals and led to the attack.
But later, India Today quietly changed its headline and updated its report after learning that the detention was part of an anti-smuggling operation.
The headline changed, but the damage was already done. India Today initially presented a narrative that portrayed the BSF as the villain.
Don't fall for misleading narratives. Stand with our Soldiers.

🚨 BIG BREAKING: BLAST REPORTED ON RAILWAY TRACK NEAR INDIA-PAKISTAN BORDER IN RAJASTHAN
A suspected blast damaged two cement blocks supporting the Anupgarh-Suratgarh railway track near 50 GB village in Sri Ganganagar district, Rajasthan, around 9:45 PM on Tuesday.
The explosion occurred approximately 45 minutes after a passenger train had passed through the stretch. A nearly 2-foot-deep crater was found between the tracks.
ATS, CID, dog squad and railway officials have rushed to the spot. Train services on the route have been cancelled as a precautionary measure.
SP Harishankar says an FSL team has been called to examine the evidence. The exact nature and cause of the blast are yet to be established. No link has been established with the recent recovery of 7.5 kg RDX in the border region.
Investigation underway.

Even the "ICF" bogie technology came from Switzerland.
Be it LHB or "ICF" coach we got it from Germany and Switzerland
Swiss Car and Elevator Mfg. Co. Ltd (Waggonfabrik Schlieren) of Schlieren-Zürich, Switzerland, celebrating the delivery of its 100th passenger coach to India (destined for Bombay). In May 1949, the Government of India signed a technical aid agreement with Schweizerische Wagons- und Aufzügefabrik A.G., Schlieren-Zürich ("Wagi"), to establish a modern manufacturing workshop for lightweight, all-metal railway coaching stock in India.
This crucial agreement served as the foundation for setting up the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Perambur, Chennai. Under this technical collaboration, Swiss engineers helped India transition from building traditional wooden-bodied coaches to advanced, lightweight, all-steel, all-welded integral coaches, revolutionizing Indian rail safety and manufacturing capability. Swiss engineers—such as the first chief technical manager, Walter Braem—helped set up the facility and train Indian engineers.
Because these lightweight coach designs and bogie concepts were adapted from the Swiss company in Schlieren, Indian Railways coaches from this lineage are historically referred to as having a Schlieren design. But thereafter, there was a stagnation of more than 40 years till the new LHB design was adopted. #IndianRailways #coaches #History

Because developing an engine is an extremely expensive affair.
It's not just about designing pistons, cylinders and a crankshaft. It involves years of R&D, prototyping, combustion development, ECU calibration, emission compliance, durability testing, homologation and setting up specialised manufacturing facilities.
An Indian industry estimate once put engine platform development at ₹150–200 crore. A new powertrain programme can cost hundreds of millions of dollars globally.
And here's the biggest challenge: manufacturers need to recover this investment through vehicle sales over several years.
That's why companies try to use the same engine across multiple cars, SUVs and even different vehicle segments.
A new engine needs not just engineering excellence, but also massive financial backing and economies of scale.
This is also why a proven, well engineered engine family is such a valuable asset for an automobile manufacturer.
Wish they booked ticket on Gorakhpur Mumbai train
Passengers travelling on SpiceJet flight SG 553 from Gorakhpur to Mumbai were left frustrated after an eight-hour delay ended in cancellation on November 1. After boarding, passengers reportedly faced discomfort inside the aircraft due to an AC malfunction, with technicians spending nearly two hours trying to fix the issue. The flight, scheduled to depart at 5:55 pm, was eventually cancelled, prompting some passengers to lie down in front of the aircraft. A passenger also alleged that the crew cited an 8 pm restriction but failed to provide clear answers.
