I had a missed miscarriage earlier this year living in the state of Florida.
The hospital in my town made me come back 3 times within a week for an ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy was not viable & then proceeded to refuse me a D&C, despite me not being able to naturally pass the tissue without high risk of hemmoraging.
I called a lawyer who was able to get ahold of a clinic willing to perform the procedure, and set my appointment for two days out.

My 17-year-old son's grocery store manager called me because I'm listed as his emergency contact.
She said we needed to discuss a problem with his timecard.
Then she dropped the words every mother dreads:
"We have him on camera."
My son works evening shifts stocking shelves.
On the drive to the store, my mind went into overdrive.
Was he stealing? Clocking in for a friend? Had he done something even worse?
I walked into the break room, terrified of what I was about to hear.
The manager sat me down, turned her laptop toward me, and pressed play.
I wasn't prepared for what I was about to see...
