There's an outside chance of Boston hitting 70F 6 days in a row this Monday-Saturday
The record for 70s in a row during November is 4 (in 2020 and 2022)
Record for total 70s during the whole month is 6
Extremely mild stuff for the time of year, even if some of those days stay in the 60s

If I were a software engineer I would simply leave the bugs out of the codebase. I donβt understand why this isnβt common practice in the industry.

Our final month ahead call for November is warmest on record, besting prior record from 25 years ago (2001) by 31 HDDs.

Loving the dry weather? It looks like we've got another week of it.
You can see precipitation all around southern New England but none here locally.
Milder days coming up tomorrow and especially Friday. Likely pushing 65 to 70F here to close out the work week with a nice west-northwesterly land breeze. 3KM NAM temps Friday afternoon - can probably tack on a couple of degrees

My favorite view on a spectacular day on Cape Cod. Lighthouse beach Chatham.
Cold night last night and plenty of frost again this morning. Timing and placement of high pressure cells have allowed for several of these clear, calm, cold nights this month.

And unsurprisingly, many dozens more US cities will be on pace for their record warmest year through October, including Las Vegas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver, Houston and Nashville.
Wind has been non-stop and annoying for days...gusted 40 to 50 mph again today...starts to drop off tonight and tomorrow and then *much* quieter over the weekend. Will feel much much nicer Sat and especially Sun

π¨ PHP warns of two critical vulnerabilities as emergency patches arrive tomorrow
The PHP security team will release updates on October 21 at 14:00 UTC for two vulnerabilities, each rated 9.2 under CVSS v4.0.
β
Security researchers identified the flaws as CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 and described them as remote code execution vulnerabilities reportedly affecting PHP versions 5 through 8.
PHP has not yet confirmed the affected versions, exploitation requirements or fixed releases.
β
The vulnerabilities were reportedly leaked before their planned disclosure. Researchers said they have not observed active exploitation, while PHP warned it may release the patches early if technical details become public or exploitation is detected.
β
Administrators should identify PHP installations now and prepare to apply the updates as soon as they become available.
Plenty of annoying wind today...and that's pretty much the theme for the rest of the work week. Bit stronger tomorrow and Thursday before it relaxes late in the week. Gale Warnings up for the coastal waters.
What a day today! Warmest until sometime next Spring? We'll see what 'The Nino' has to say but safe bet.
