Sorry, eigenspace is esoteric for vast majority of people.
Linguists may think IPA is not esoteric, but most people have only ever heard of India Pale Ale, not the International Phonetic Alphabet.

In Tarma, Peru a very interesting dialect of Quechua is spoken.
We analyzed the recordings and show that the dialect features one of the most intriguing phonotactic restrictions. Stops are voiced after a voiceless stop and voiceless after a nasal.

Well, it's not really different in Tamil. கறி ‹kari› is a generic word for a type of dish, it's roughly analogous to “stew”. People don't say they like “stew”, because they'd be asked, “What kind of stew?”.

This handle will now become a cold weather hate handle. No linguistics, only hate on single degree weather
Or more precisely, there is ambiguity in how the string can be pasted, and prosody disambiguiates the readings.
The OP is making a joke but people are reading this headline and thinking it's ambiguous. No, it is not ambiguous. There is only one way to read it, but you have to pay attention to and understand punctuation.
This fits a pattern I've already noticed. Young people virtually never use hyphens, and many don't even know how to use them.
