It’s WHO lost those jobs.
Statistics Canada’s latest economic report reveals:
📉 August–September: 110,000 net jobs lost.
👨🎓 MORE THAN HALF of those losses were among Canadians aged 15–24.
📉 Full-time employment: DOWN 71,000.
🏛️ Public-sector employment: DOWN 90,000.
Think about what this means for Canada’s next generation.
Young Canadians are entering a labour market where finding that first job is becoming increasingly difficult.
Meanwhile, they’re confronting housing costs that make financial independence feel increasingly distant.
No first job.
No steady income.
No meaningful savings.
No realistic path to homeownership.
And this week, the Bank of Canada raised interest rates again.
Here’s the economic problem policymakers cannot ignore:
