Stanley is the 3 year old German Shepherd who was set to be euthanized last Friday 10/2 just because nobody came for him.
10 days later, he’s been rescued, fostered, and adopted to a wonderful forever home!! Look at his smile!!!
His incredible story is a great reminder to me of God’s faithfulness in everything, His care for His creatures, and that when we walk by faith He does work all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
I wasn’t following @KellyG581976179 at the time, but I saw a post pop up in my algorithm about Stanley on Thursday, 10/1.
I don’t know why, but something about Stanley’s urgent situation prompted me to think, I have to help, not just hope someone else does.
I had no idea if there was still time to help but messaged Kelly and emailed the shelter twice saying I want to save Stanley. I’m in Florida, he was in California.
At this point, I had no real plan or even knowledge of how to possibly get Stanley to Florida. (He’s 65 lbs!) But I knew I needed to save him, so I just prayed and said Lord help me save this dog and figure out the rest.
I got connected with a rescue and paid the adoption fee in time and Stanley made it out!!! He was then picked up by a kennel.
I was texting friends saying, so I guess I have a German Shepard now? 😂🤷♀️ He still needed a foster home to take him from the kennel to the vet to be eligible to transport to Florida.
@wells_sl saw my post about him and said she would foster him, and drove literally 10 hours to pick him up!
My friend @MarkMeckler texted me saying he wanted to help if I started a GiveSendGo, so I did, and many of you who saw that helped and because you did, we raised enough to pay for a really good vet to do Stanley’s surgery and wellness exam! Thank you so much to everyone who helped save Stanley!!
So as I’m still trying to figure out how to get him to Florida, @wells_sl texted me saying, “Would you be open to Stanley being adopted?”
Her daughter’s friend had come over and met Stanley, and as it turned out, their family had just lost their 13-year-old German Shepherd to cancer in July. Their dog left a huge hole in their hearts and their family immediately loved Stanley. They’ve had 4 GSDs, and Stanley will be their 5th. Her late grandfather’s name was even Stanley!
It was the clear next step and answer to prayer. It was hard to re-orient to letting go of this dog I already loved but haven’t even met, but realizing what’s best for him to not have to make yet another transition and that my role had been to save him, not keep him.
I am absolutely overjoyed that Stanley is already home!! He will live just a few minutes away from the family who fostered him this week, they’ll see him often, and he’s now already bonding with his new family as he recovers. His new family needs him as much as he needs them, and they’re ready to love him!
I couldn’t have planned it any better, but of course I didn’t know any of this would happen and but I just kept thinking, take it one step at a time and trust God for the rest.
If He cares this much to orchestrate so many people coming together to save this sweet dog and get him home, how much more does He care to give His children everything we need?
Walk by faith. It doesn’t all have to be planned out. Just walk by faith. And maybe you can also help save a dog along the way? ❤️🐾

Hersh says Obama was "deeply involved" with the alleged coup and called Biden after his "incident" in Las Vegas.
"I went over [reports] this week with a senior official in Washington who helped me fashion an account of a White House in complete disarray," Hersh said.
"Obama called Biden after breakfast [on July 20] and said, 'Here’s the deal. We have Kamala’s approval to invoke the 25th Amendment,'" a senior Washington official told Hersh.
Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries were reportedly directly involved.
Obama's plan was to not immediately endorse Kamala but it was clear that she would "get the nod" and it was determined that her being a prosecutor would help in debates.
"[Obama] had an agenda and he wanted to seek it through to the end, and he wanted to have control over who would be elected."
This is called a coup.
