Took Destiny months. The Sony Disk folks are still fighting.

Just a gentle reminder to anyone starting to feel defeated:
Any and all protests take time. Rarely does change happen overnight.
If we want to save the game (and prove again that gamers actually know games better than the suits), we have to hold the line.
#SaveMassEffect
Ah yes. Let’s cancel a game that is currently in development, going smoothly, and has a dedicated, hungry for more fan base for a game that… hasn’t even been started yet. @EA I will never purchase another game made by you.

I can accept that a live service Battlefront 3 will be a more profitable than Mass Effect: Universe would've been...
BUT
I find it impossible to believe that it was truly a "either/or" situation and this is just a lame excuse to shutter the Edmonton office. #savemasseffect
NEW: Why did EA shut down BioWare? Twitter thinks the studio failed because it was too woke. BlueSky thinks Saudi Arabia killed the studio for being too gay.
The real reason? Star Wars bloomberg.com/news/newslette…

@EA and save the Mass Effect Universe! We need to show them they have no safe space on social media. We will continue our campaign until they surrender!! #HoldTheLine and #SaveMassEffect SIGNUP: change.org/p/savemasseffect

I just finished Mass Effect for the first time.
I get it now.

So...it was the Saudi Arabian buy out, because the buy out resulted in EA being saddled with a massive debt on the balance sheet because they accepted a leveraged buy out. What's going to end up happening is they sell off things like Madden & Battlefield and pocket the cash while they close down things that go against their agenda. Folks, this isn't a "Star Wars killed Mass Effect" issue, it's greed. It's a similar strategy to what Golden Gate Capital did to Darden Restaurants. It's the exact same thing. EA likely won't exist in a decade.

Mass Effect community, you know what to do here.
Be respectful, kind and clever. Avoid replying with just the hashtag or petition link. Like and support each other's comments.

I'd like to think that the citadel DLC was a love letter from the devs to the fans.
Now, the #SaveMassEffect "movement" seems to me like a love letter from the fans to the devs. And that warms my heart.

Jason Schreier skipping over the part where you have to pay a huge licensing fee to the Mouse for Star Wars in his article whereas Mass Effect is in house (no fee)... EA opened up their checkbook again.

Not surprising but shitty nonetheless. Funny thing is, because of what they've done, I won't be buying Battlefront 3, or the next Star Wars Jedi or any other EA title again and I'm not alone

Bloomberg: Main reason behind BioWare's shutdown was that EA chose to invest in Star Wars: Battlefront 3 over the next Mass Effect
Development on Battlefront 3 hasn't started yet

Boycott all things @EA we will crush them! We will never ever stop fight this! We will never stop fighting @EA until we get Mass Effect Universe!
What you have to understand is that because of EA's new massive debt load, predictability is more important than ever. EA needs predictable annual cash flow to service its debt. So a Battlefront 3 that hits its deadlines is more valuable than a Mass Effect that will likely be delayed multiple times.

I'm a #darksouls player, I love and I platinumed all Fromsoftware games (yes even Scholar).
Many friends told me how Souls games helped them through their darkest times, and even saved them.
To the #soulsborne community, you might know better than most that a game can be more than a game...
For many Mass Effect fans, the ME trilogy did the same: we have friends who told us that they wouldn't be there anymore if it wasn't for this game.
Today, we're fighting to save the universe that once helped us, following a studio closing and a mid-dev game canceled last week.
If you know how much a game can be important to people, please help us 🖤 We're trying to rally as much players as possible to the cause.
We're only asking for a signature on the #savemasseffect petition, it's free and only takes 3 minutes of your time, and if you can share the info around you.
A big thank you 🙏
