Over the long term, the future is decided by optimists. To be an optimist you don’t have to ignore the multitude of problems we create; you just have to imagine how much our ability to solve problems improves. #excellentadvice

1. Big news from @RilletHQ !  We are excited to announce our $13.5M funding led by @firstround and @creandum , with participation from @SusaVentures , @BoxGroup , Go Global Ventures, Puzzle Ventures and an incredible group of builders, operators and angels.  2. Our investors We raised $13.5M to build the next generation accounting platform from some of the world's best investors who backed Uber, Square, Notion, Spotify, Klarna, Robinhood, Ramp, Plaid, Palantir, SpaceX, Airbnb and more. We are lucky to have incredible supporters like @btrenchard, @specht_p , @chadbyers , @kevinhartz , @scottbelsky , @cjc , @dvlamoen , @spillda , Michael Yip, Edwine Alphonse.  3.  What is Rillet Rillet is the next-gen accounting platform purpose built to automate end-to-end accounting workflows. We pull in metadata from your CRM, billing, AP, payroll and automatically create invoices, bills, journal entries, deferred revenue schedules, prepaid schedules, billing forecasts and many more. 93% of journal entries booked in Rillet to date have been done without a human having ever been involved 🤯.  4. Our customers We are lucky to have 70+ customers and hundreds of supporters who share our vision of revamping the ERP from the ground up. We are currently helping those in SaaS, usage and AI finance teams across multiple geographies, currencies and entities 🌍. And we are working hard to bring this magical experience to more industries and countries. 5. Who are we We’re a team of accountants and engineers. We grew frustrated with manual data reconciliation and the arduous implementations and migrations from QBO to Sage, Netsuite and back. We are capable of building reusable rockets 🚀 to space, surely we can build a better accounting and financial system! 6. What is Rillet’s vision We want to make zero day close a reality. In practical terms, this means continuous close, having your information from CRM, billing, AP, payroll etc all sync’d live instantaneously with your accounting system, and having your numbers, metrics, performance real-time for decision making. No more reporting 10 days after quarter end, report day ZERO.  7. We are hiring We are in growth mode, check out rillet.com/careers/ if you share our passion for accounting. If you don’t see a role suitable to your talent and can convince me how you can help move the company forward, drop me a note. 8. Community and events Join us at [email protected] and we look forward to seeing you at our future events.   One step closer to zero day close. Read more in comments below.

i miss this infrastructure so much. Too many of our streets here are designed like racetracks.
Slower speeds are achieved not by posting a sign, but by engineering means that force drivers to slow down and pay attention. Dutch police do very little traffic enforcement; if too many drivers speed on a street, it is deemed a design failure and sent back to the drawing board.

Hey SF: if you're tweeting about bikes or streets or cars, but you haven't filled out the Lake St survey, dare I say that you're wasting your energy. Yes, 84% of folks want to keep Slow Lake, but that other 16% have all filled out the survey. Get to it! survey.alchemer.com/s3/66559…

The #Netherlands is the only European country now officially and publicly admitting they are STILL following a #herdimmunity strategy, more than 1 year into this pandemic and variants spreading and everything we know about #covid and they still insist this is the right course 🤦🏻‍♂️
The Dutch parliament just voted against ending the herdimmunity strategy. They have really given up on pretending they care, all while we are at #CodeBlack 📈

Science: Beware, the B117 variant is now predominant in Europe! Let’s vaccinate! Quickly! EU: Yes, but blood clots. Sc: Same in the test groups as in controls, right? EU: Hmm... Just in case Sc: Hasn’t the UK vaccinated *millions* with that vaccine? EU: We can’t risk it 👇

Bikes.
2012 vs 2020 What a transformation. Highlighting the inefficiency of the automobile as means of transporting people. @Anne_Hidalgo 2014 vision of re-engineering the city's roads and Junctions to be less car centric has really paid off. Less pollution, congestion & more cycling
