More people should reply to the question they were FUCKING asked. Ahem.

Or process the words they just heard and formulate a new thought rather than rehearsed opinions, you know?

Honestly seems this is one of the more common ubiquitous forms of human failure. You aren't listening, just hearing.

Remember kids: don't be swayed by or share unsourced and unexplained graphs, even if they mirror your x or y wing point of view. Far, FAR too many of you do this, including old chums and the like that we follow.

To that end: does anyone know of some proper, expert-led analysis on this topic?

Bit weird. FRA87 is out and now on the back back inbound. But RIGID is descending to land. Cancelled practice, perhaps?

This looks very interesting
What really happens when you take part in a clinical trial? @encephalitis explores some common misconceptions and the realities of taking part – including why recruiting enough participants can be a challenge for encephalitis research. Read more: encephalitis.info/news/the-t…

It's always just some weird bloke that believes shit like this, isn't it?
Replying to @jonathanstea
There has never been a “measles death.” Not one. Measles are a symptom. A symptom of inherited and acquired toxicity that are thankfully purged through the skin

We had one of these "viruses don't exist" bellends in our audience once, with a microbiologist on stage who very much works with them every day. This world started going to shit when people didn't stay in their fucking lanes.

We haven't done a fact check in a while, so here's one: The ScotRail app is still shite.

Putting aside physics, what’s the alternative here? That all eye witnesses are in on the act? That all videos from every angle were somehow faked and matched up to every inch of detail? Conspiracy theorists can just say “that doesn’t look right” without providing an alternative
🔥9/11: Wings Cut Through Steel Like Butter After 25 years, it’s starting to get a little boring to have the same old discussion over and over again, but so you can see everything at a glance: Here, for comparison, you can see that nothing on the aluminum plane breaks off, explodes, or even bends—because it’s just cheap computer graphics (CGI). With today’s AI, it would look more professional. And before you join the discussion here, please watch all the videos below. There you’ll also see footage of the nose coming out the other side.

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel tonight's Devil's Advocate event. We do appreciate it is very late in the day but this is due to some circumstances we are unable to control. Our other events, are all very much on. We're in the Banshee at 7:20 Tue this week and Mon Tue next.

Interesting - those who've experienced greater hardship may become more susceptible to conspiracy theories when it results in them seeing the world as fundamentally unfair: Dr Daniel Jolley & Dr. Laura Blackie working from @UniofNottingham & @CumbriaUni tinyurl.com/yp79992w

We are absolutely fucked, guys.
Turns out that Flux 3 is exceptional at generating historical footage... like elementary school students in the '90s predicting how we'll use computers. (the last girl is my favorite!)

Is Google dumb? Or is it evil? Genuine question. The ability to fake satellite imagery with simple prompts was rolled out yesterday to all users & the potential harm is so blindingly obvious, it’s almost as if they’re profit-seeking chaos edgelords who simply don’t give a shit
Tonight I typed just one sentence into Google Earth and put refugees near the Mexican border. Then I planted a nuclear plant in Iran. What on earth is Google doing? Check my latest post here: digitaldigging.org/p/how-to-…

When a slew of "COVID is a hoax" right wing broadcasters died of COVID, and the needle didn't move with their followers, I knew we were in the bad place.
We really need to collect the stories of all 200,000-300,000 Americans who needlessly died from Q3 2021 to Q3 of 2022 from Covid bc they refused Covid vaccines. They fell victim to a deliberate campaign of anti-science disinformation led by the Murdoch media empire, some Spotify podcasters, 4-6 members of the U.S. Congress, and wellness influencers who knowingly pushed ivermectin as a substitute when they knew it did nothing for Covid. Horrible sociopaths who did it for greed, political gain, or who were desperate for recognition

Elon Musk’s visible shock when confronted with the fact that London is safer than American cities exposes a massive gap between social media algorithms and statistical reality. Despite the endless stream of online panic about ”dangerous” European capitals, the numbers don’t lie: London is objectively safer than almost every city in the United States. The idea that London is a crime-ridden wasteland is a triumph of online disinformation, allowed to spread unchecked on platforms like X because it fits a specific political narrative. The actual data shows that London's homicide rate sits at roughly 1.1 per 100,000 people. To put that in perspective, 100 out of the 100 largest US cities (!!!) have higher homicide rates than London, and 49 out of 50 US states are more dangerous on this metric. London achieves this safety record despite being a massive, diverse global hub of nine million residents. Critics often point to property crime or phone snatching to argue that London is worse, but using petty crime to ignore murder statistics is fundamentally flawed. Criminologists rely heavily on homicide rates because non-fatal crime statistics are notoriously harder to compare and more unreliable. Theft, sexual violence, and minor assault reporting rates fluctuate wildly depending on how much citizens trust local police or whether they need a police report for an insurance claim. Forms of non-lethal violence also vary based on legislation: you will naturally see more stabbings in a country with fewer guns, and more gun violence in a country with more guns. Homicide, by contrast, is an absolute and objective metric. It measures the ultimate form of violence, correlates strongly with overall severe crime, and leaves almost no room for underreporting. It counts all forms of lethal violence in an unhackable way. It is impossible to claim your city is safer than London if you have a five times higher homicide rate, even if London scores worse on theft. London has plenty of room for improvement, but American commentators living under drastically higher murder rates should clean up their own backyard before preaching to others
