In May 2016, 15-year-old Karinya “Yaya” Chen was in hospice care in Austin, Texas after years of fighting cancer. She had tickets to see Florence The Machine, but by the night of the concert, she was simply too sick to go.
So the people at Hospice Austin reached out to the band.
And Florence Welch came to her.
Florence and guitarist Rob Ackroyd walked into Karinya’s room and gave her the concert she couldn't make it to. They sang “Shake It Out” and “Dog Days Are Over,” with Karinya singing and harmonizing right alongside them.
A few months later, Karinya lost her battle with cancer at just 15 years old.
But for one afternoon, none of that seemed to matter.
There was just a young girl, one of her favorite singers, a guitar, a room full of people who loved her... and music.
Sometimes the smallest act of kindness can become one of the biggest moments of someone's life.
This is what being human is supposed to look like.🙏

God bless 🙏🏼 AI omg 🤣
A Texas woman reportedly decided to divorce her husband after discovering he'd been using ChatGPT to win arguments with her for nearly three years.
She first became suspicious when her husband, who normally couldn't remember what they'd argued about five minutes earlier, suddenly started giving thoughtful responses, admitting when he was wrong, and apologizing without being asked.
At first, she thought their marriage was finally improving.
Then one evening, during an argument about household chores, he excused himself to use the bathroom. When he didn't come back for nearly twenty minutes, she went looking for him and found him sitting on the toilet asking ChatGPT how to respond to a wife who says her husband never listens.
After confronting him, she discovered he'd been taking screenshots of their text arguments, uploading them to ChatGPT, and asking it to help him prove he was right.
He'd even been asking it to write his apologies.
Apparently, the final straw was discovering that the heartfelt anniversary message he'd written her was also generated by AI.
When asked why he'd been doing it, he explained that he was just trying to communicate better and avoid unnecessary arguments.
She told him she wanted a divorce.
He reportedly asked ChatGPT what he should say next.
Would you consider that cheating, or is the guy just using the tools available to him? 😂
Back on October 29, 1983, a record that had been on the charts for more than ten years did something no other album had ever done. Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon reached its 491st week on the Billboard album chart, passing the record previously held by Johnny Mathis.
The album had been released in March of 1973, and tucked among its ten tracks was a song called “Time.” Roger Waters came up with the idea when he was 29 years old, after realizing he'd spent much of his life waiting for something to happen. He thought there would come a point when everything would finally begin, until it dawned on him that life had been happening all along.
When the band went into the studio to record the song, engineer Alan Parsons already had something that would give it a rather unusual beginning. He'd recorded a collection of clocks and alarms for a demonstration of quadraphonic sound, using a different clock for each recording. The band put those sounds together, and the result was that incredible opening where all the clocks suddenly start ringing before the music begins.
The Dark Side of the Moon would eventually spend more than 900 weeks on the Billboard 200, but tonight we're going back to one of the songs that helped make that album such a lasting part of rock history.
🎶 Here's Pink Floyd with “Time.” Turn it up and enjoy your evening. 🎶

Y'all, I've officially hit my limit on political ads this year. 😂
Between the TV, the mailbox, my phone, and texts from numbers I've never seen in my life, I get more campaign mail than anything else. Some days checking the mailbox is a treasure hunt for the water bill.
Five more days, friends. Five more days. Then we get our truck and pizza commercials back.
The best way to make the ads stop? Go vote. 😉

Oh, and my grand escape with the cats was fun too! Those little troublemakers sure know how to get me into mischief! 🐈⬛🚔🤣
I've made an executive decision: I'm working from home tomorrow too! 😉
I hope y'all had a wonderful day!
Sweet dreams, love and hugs! See you in the morning for coffee! ☕🤗💋

Robert Welch, Founder Of The John Birch Society's 1958 Speech Describing The NWO / Illuminati Playbook To Destroy America.
This is exactly what democrats and their RINO partners in the uni-party swamp have been doing to dismantle America.
Listen to the 10 steps outlined here IN 1958 and then cross examine what we're going through RIGHT NOW and what Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have been tasked to UNDO with The Department of Government Efficiency:
• Greatly expanded government spending for every conceivable means of getting rid of ever larger sums of American money as WASTEFULLY AS POSSIBLE.
• Higher and then much higher taxes.
• An increasingly unbalanced budget despite the higher taxes.
• Wild inflation of our currency.
• Government controls of prices, wages, and materials, supposedly to combat inflation.
• Greatly increased socialistic controls over every operation of our economy and every activity of our daily lives. This is to be accompanied, naturally and automatically, by a correspondingly huge increase in the size of our bureaucracy and in both the cost and reach of our domestic government.
• Far more centralization of power in Washington and the practical elimination of our state lines.
• The steady advance of Federal Aid and control over our educational system, leading to complete federalization of our public education.
• A constant hammering into the American consciousness of the horror of modern warfare, the beauties and the absolute necessity of peace, peace always on communist terms, of course.
• The consequent willingness of the American people to allow the steps of appeasement by our government, which amount to a piecemeal surrender of the rest of the free world and of the United States itself.
Welch concluded the real puppet masters, whom Welch came to call simply “the Insiders”, were a massive cabal of cultural & financial elites, the globalist power brokers of the Bilderberg Group, the grand strategists of the Council of Foreign Relations, & their obliging injected surrogates in the mainstream press.
"His John Birch Society is a self-described conservative advocacy group supporting anti-communism & limited government. It has been described as a radical right & far-right organization. The organization supports limited government & opposes wealth redistribution & economic interventionism. It opposes collectivism, totalitarianism, anarchism & communism. It opposes socialism as well, which it asserts is infiltrating U.S. governmental administration."

"Barack Obama is a radical communist! He's going to destroy this country and we're either going to stop him, or the United States of America is going to cease to exist!"
The mainstream media wouldn't show you this video then and they'll never show you this now either because their job is to protect Barack Obama and cover up his TREASON!

Sugar cream pie has been my favourite since I was a little girl 🥧 My grandma used to make the very best one ever 🥹💙
Here's her recipe if you want to try it… smooth, creamy and kissed with maple ☺️ Save it for later and tell me if you make it 👇😋
Graham Cracker Crust (one 9-inch / 23 cm pie)
• 1½ cups (about 150–160 g) graham cracker crumbs (roughly 10–12 sheets)
• ¼ cup (50 g) granulated or light brown sugar
• Pinch of salt
• 6 tablespoons (85 g) unsalted butter, melted
Sugar cream filling
• 1¾ cups (350 g) packed light or dark brown sugar
• ⅓ cup (80 ml) pure maple syrup
• 1¼ cups (300 ml) heavy cream (35% MF)
• 3 tablespoons (42 g) unsalted butter
• 2 tablespoons (15–16 g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tablespoon (8 g) cornstarch
• 2 large eggs, at room temperature
• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• Pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Make the crust
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175–180°C).
Mix the crumbs, sugar, and salt, then stir in the melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.
Press it firmly and evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate (use the bottom of a measuring cup or glass for a compact crust).
Bake 8–10 minutes until lightly golden and fragrant. Let cool while you make the filling.
2. Start the filling 🤤
In a medium heavy bottomed saucepan, combine the brown sugar, maple syrup, cream, and butter.
Warm over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth and steaming (do not let it boil hard)!
**Remove from the heat.**
3. Temper and thicken
In a bowl, whisk the eggs, flour, cornstarch, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Slowly pour about ½ cup of the warm sugar-cream mixture into the eggs while whisking vigorously (this prevents curdling).
Pour the tempered egg mixture back into the saucepan.
Return to medium-low heat and cook, stirring constantly, for 3–5 minutes until the filling thickens slightly (it should coat the back of a spoon and feel like a thin pudding).
**Do not let it boil.**
4. Assemble and bake.
Pour the filling into the pre-baked crust (place the pie plate on a baking sheet to catch any drips).
Bake at 350°F (175–180°C) for 30–40 minutes, until the edges are set and the centre still has a gentle jiggle. 👀
The top will caramelize and turn golden.
5. Cool and set.
Cool completely on a rack (at least 2 hours)
then refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours or preferably overnight.
The filling firms up into a creamy, sliceable texture.
It’s best to wipe the knife between slices for clean cuts.😋
Serve cold or at cool room temperature, plain or with unsweetened whipped cream (the pie is already very sweet). Some like it with ice cream.
** Dark brown sugar gives deeper molasses notes; light brown is milder.
The brief stovetop cook plus the eggs/flour/cornstarch combination produces the soft, fudgy-creamy set.
It is most Excellent the next day.
Keeps 4–5 days refrigerated.
It freezes reasonably well (slice first).
😋 Variations: Add a handful of toasted pecans or walnuts to the filling if you like.
For an even richer maple hit, increase the syrup slightly and reduce the brown sugar by the same volume.
If you ever want the traditional pastry crust instead, most classic recipes use a single unbaked flaky crust and bake the filling in it from the start. 💙

Ahhhhh yes. Some say its a rite of passage. Others say its mean. All I know is that it happened to me several times as a kid and I turned out pretty well. I had uncles that enjoyed their Genesee Beer and scaring the 💩 out of us. I will admit though, this is a bit much to a few of them. 👻🤣

It was Christmas Eve in 1933 in Willoughby, Ohio, a small city just off Lake Erie. It would have been a blustery night to be wandering the streets, but a young woman in bright blue—her dress, coat, scarf, hat, and purse all blue—was out walking when she was struck by a New York Central passenger train. She had nothing in her purse but ninety cents and a ticket to Corry, Pennsylvania.
"The Girl in Blue," as she came to be known, had arrived in Willoughby as mysteriously as she left. She had been staying for a couple of days at a local boarding house but revealed almost nothing about herself. Reports at the time say that she spoke to a couple of people while out walking that December night, then she seemed to simply step in front of the speeding train.
The townspeople embarked on a search for the name of the woman, but no one was able to identify her or locate any next of kin. A resident donated a burial plot in the Village Cemetery and she was laid to rest. A collection was taken up for a plain headstone, which was inscribed:
In memory of the Girl in Blue / Killed by Train / December 24, 1933 / Unknown but not forgotten
The Girl in Blue was Josephine (she went by “Sophie”) Klimczak. It was a combination of a news story and renewed interest in the mystery, coupled with some digging into tax and property records in Warren County, PA (that ticket to Corry was key) that sealed a pretty strong case.
Although the official death record still only cites her as the Girl in Blue, her identity has been unanimously embraced in town, a kind of rebirth in her demise. In 2002 a local monument retailer donated a footstone, to finally give her a name.
