You’re actually a terrible friend posting y’all’s convo on the internet. Especially when she was trying to be helpful. She’s not wrong and if you want a baby then you should be willing to look at it from every angle.

tbh like, assumptions about fanfic aside, i think that having an addiction to reading stories written out of pure passion for writing and not money isn't that bad of a thing. like people are sad they cant read more, i think that's fun considering the current state of literacy

It's not. It's part of why nobody can get jobs.
This can’t be real. This must be a troll.

i mean y’all forget you have mothers when you rape, insult, molest, stalk, abuse women.
airbnb held a gala because they’re trying to rebrand as cool + roping in celebs who are unaware of what they’ve done. not widely known but airbnb donated $1M for ads attacking zohran because of his opposition to airbnb, which drives up housing costs and prices people out of nyc

this is a mask off moment.
sheer fucking arrogance. he really believes he should have all the compute, after jacking up prices to the point where a consumer PC is almost unaffordable.
I root for this house of cards to crash and burn. open source must win.
WAIT… I can’t believe Sam Altman really said this out loud about local AI: “A lot of people want local inference. And they assume that the problem is solved now because we are going to have open source models. And so we're not going to need all the stuff in the data center.
But from a global allocation perspective, actually, it's quite terrible to have everybody have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. And, being used 5% of the time.”
this is such a bizarre thing to say in the open. I don’t get why people buying hardware for their own use is framed as a competition with data centers spending billions to buy hardware at scale.
if anyone should be complaining about how the world’s memory is allocated, it must be the average consumers facing the skyrocketing hardware prices.
it just doesn’t make any sense.

🚨 US LAWMAKERS ARE NOW PREPARING FOR THE AI BUBBLE TO BURST.
House Democrats have introduced a resolution opposing government bailouts for AI companies if the industry crashes.
Instead of rescuing them with taxpayer money, lawmakers want failed AI companies to go through normal bankruptcy.
And the timing is extremely concerning.
Some of the world's biggest tech companies are investing billions into AI startups that spend heavily on their products.
• Nvidia invests in CoreWeave, which buys Nvidia chips.
• Microsoft invests in OpenAI, which spends billions on Microsoft's cloud services.
• Amazon invests in Anthropic, which uses Amazon's cloud infrastructure.
Billions are moving between companies that are becoming increasingly dependent on each other's spending.
And lawmakers are raising concerns about the growing use of borrowed money by Big Tech and Wall Street to finance the AI boom.
The resolution is not law, but it shows that some lawmakers are already worried about what happens if the industry collapses.
If AI startups run out of funding, they could be forced to slash spending or declare bankruptcy, leaving their investors and suppliers facing massive losses.
And without government bailouts, a major failure could spread across chipmakers, cloud providers, banks and the broader stock market.
The biggest risk is that one major AI bankruptcy could trigger losses across an entire industry worth trillions.

Bob Ross is actually a perfect example to show why art lovers are unimpressed by AI art. Bob Ross is not famous for his paintings. He is famous for his videos in which he showed *how* he made his paintings. The process matters!
