I love using @freedom For me, it's totally worth the small fee for that ability to *NOT* be able to do things.. things like scroll endlessly, get stuck down some weird rabbit hole. How kids do not want to be told what to do, while us adults desperately need someone to tell us what to do.. or not do.. Freedom can't tell you to go to bed but it can make poor choices harder to access! **PS there is a free version available

Before the world gets loud, choose one small ritual for yourself. A walk. Stillness. Breath. No distractions. Start your week clear, calm, and present. ✨ #FreedomApp #QuietMornings #MentalSpace #MorningRoutine #DigitalDetox #Focus

Been using @freedom’s new app, Limit, and I’m really liking it. Smart features that help you set boundaries with your attention What I like most is that it doesn’t rely on guilt or brute-force blocking. It helps you put thoughtful limits around scrolling (the kind of approach I write about in Indistractable: designing your environment so you don’t have to rely on willpower) Worth checking out if you’re trying to be more intentional with your attention! Available for iOS in Apple's App Store.

Same. This will simply make me use Messenger less, since I use @freedom to block Facebook for most of the time.

I purchased @freedom life time deal this BFCM. * Finally decided to join the hyper productive gang. Getting to my 40s now (although I feel like I'm 30-ish SMH), excited to see what the next 10 years will bring. * It's a steal, BTW. Try it free here: freedom.to/guest-pass?code=R…

Updating social media schedule to only allow between 12pm-6pm. See you all tomorrow at noon. By the way, @freedom is really good for this. One of these days I'll build a personal site listing all these favorite apps of mine.

I should also add that I’ve just downloaded the freedom app and need to figure out how to use it to block Steam/bg3 past 10 PM lol

I go to bed around 10:30pm and wake up at 6:30am because of kids' school schedules. I switch off all social media at 10pm using a paid app (@Freedom) I can only access social media between 5-10pm. Sometimes you need to pay money to block yourself from your own bad habits.

You need paid apps to overcome dopamine addiction. I use @Freedom app to block social media outside 5-10pm window. My friends find it funny that I pay £5/month to block myself, but sometimes you need external constraints to overcome your brain's reward patterns.

Ever wish you could just turn off temptation at night? This Freedom user starts a session at 10 PM to stop scrolling, and again in the morning to skip the doomscroll. It’s not magic, but it works. 💚 Try it tonight → freedom.to/

Great example of someone successfully building a "prosthetic environment" for their focus. The scheduled session architects a desired choice (going to bed) the easiest choice. That's the key to working with your brain, not against it.

Try this, there’s an option where you can’t bypass a block until the timer runs out under any circumstances and it syncs across all your devices. It’s the only thing I’ve found to consistently work for reducing phone distractions. Even the premium is worth apps.apple.com/app/id1269788…

These 3 free tools help me cut down on distractions and focus: • Pomofocus – 25-min sprints that kill task dread. • Freedom – blocks apps/sites, no more rabbit holes. • Notion/Google Keep – tasks in one place, less chaos. Found this helpful? Repost.🥂
