Retiring No. 1 for a 5-foot-3 guard who leads the franchise in assists and steals is the easiest call Charlotte's ever made, so who's next up in the rafters?

What a stand up job by this new ownership group and front office. This organization is first class now, and this is just the beginning of great things to come!

Everyone in the 90s knew who Muggsy was. Not only because he was 5’3”, but for the heart and passion he always showed on the court. From a Spurs fan: Thanks for the memories Mr. Bogues.

"There's only one Muggsy Bouges." The Hornets have had better players, but none have had their legacy become cemented like Muggsy. Whether because of his height, his tenure, his play, or his records, Muggsy is the first player that comes to mind when people think Hornets.

Ohhh so that’s why we traded Lamelo, didn’t want to have to make him change numbers lol Jokes aside, this is awesome. So happy for Muggsy, such a legend.

Well deserved! Loved watching him compete…was such a tough competitor. His IQ, speed, court vision was impressive. For a 5’3” player to be so successful in the league it was special.

My favorite player not named Lou Williams, Michael Jordan, or Kobe Bryant. Congratulations Mugsy! Grit, Grind, and Hustle being rewarded.

It's about time. I'm glad the current ownership is doing what all past owners should have done years ago.

I’m sorry u can’t be retiring the number 1 for muggys bogues (no offense). This the most poverty ass franchise shit I’ve ever seen.
