A magical duo ❤️
SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

ด่วน Binance แพลตฟอร์มคริปโทอันดับ 1 ถูกแฮกครั้งใหญ่ที่สุดในประวัติศาสตร์ /โดย ลงทุนแมน
วันนี้มีข่าวใหญ่ที่สุด ในวงการคริปโทเคอร์เรนซี Binance แพลตฟอร์มซื้อขายคริปโทเคอร์เรนซีที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก ถูกโจรกรรมทางไซเบอร์ด้วยมูลค่ามากที่สุดในประวัติศาสตร์
โดยก่อนหน้านี้แพลตฟอร์มที่ถูกโจรกรรมไปแล้วเสียหายมากที่สุดก็คือ Bybit ที่มีความเสียหาย 1,460 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ
มาวันนี้มีข่าวว่า Binance ถูกขโมยสินทรัพย์ไปถึง 5,900 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ ซึ่งจะมากกว่าสถิติ Bybit ประมาณ 4 เท่า และกลายเป็นการโจรกรรมคริปโทครั้งใหญ่ที่สุดเท่าที่เคยมีบันทึกไว้
โดยการโจรกรรมในครั้งนี้มีการตรวจพบการเคลื่อนย้ายสินทรัพย์ผิดปกติจากกระเป๋าคริปโทที่เชื่อมโยงกับ Binance มูลค่าสูงถึง 5,900 ล้านดอลลาร์ หรือราว 200,000 ล้านบาท
โดยสินทรัพย์ที่เกี่ยวข้องมีทั้ง Bitcoin 1,450 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ, USDT 1,570 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ, Ethereum 875 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ และ USDC อีก 823 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ รวมถึงคริปโทอื่น ๆ
ที่น่าสนใจคือ Tether และ Circle สองผู้ออก Stablecoin รายใหญ่ ได้อายัดสินทรัพย์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเหตุการณ์นี้แล้วกว่า 2,380 ล้านดอลลาร์ หรือประมาณ 77,000 ล้านบาท
และล่าสุด CZ หรือ Changpeng Zhao ผู้ก่อตั้ง Binance ได้ออกมาโพสต์บน X ว่า "It does look like a hack on Binance."
หรือแปลว่า “ดูเหมือนว่า Binance จะถูกแฮกจริง”
CZ ยืนยันว่าเงินของลูกค้ายังปลอดภัย และแม้ตัวเขาเองจะไม่ได้บริหาร Binance แล้ว แต่ในฐานะผู้ถือหุ้น เขาคาดหวังว่าลูกค้าทุกคนจะได้รับการชดเชยอย่างครบถ้วน
ขณะที่ Binance ประกาศว่าจะรับผิดชอบความเสียหายทั้งหมด และระงับการฝากถอนชั่วคราว เพื่อตรวจสอบความปลอดภัย
อย่างไรก็ตาม มูลค่าความเสียหายที่แท้จริงยังอยู่ระหว่างการตรวจสอบ
เหตุการณ์นี้สะท้อนให้เห็นว่า แม้เทคโนโลยี Blockchain จะมีความปลอดภัยสูง แต่การฝากสินทรัพย์ไว้กับตัวกลาง ก็ยังมีความเสี่ยงที่ผู้ลงทุนไม่ควรมองข้าม

เรื่องนี้ทำให้คิดได้ว่าในโลกการลงทุน ความเสี่ยงที่น่ากลัว นอกจากความเสี่ยงที่สินทรัพย์ของเราราคาลดลง
แต่ความเสี่ยงที่ใหญ่กว่าก็คือ สินทรัพย์ที่คิดว่าเป็นของเรา กลับอยู่ในมือคนอื่น และเราไม่สามารถนำมันกลับมาได้แล้ว..
