Your calling will expose you. If you are called to lead, you will wrestle with loneliness. If you are called to bring peace, you will walk through seasons of chaos. If you are called to encourage others, you will fight discouragement yourself. If you are called to stand for truth, you will be misunderstood. If you are called to love deeply, you will experience heartbreak. And honestly... many people mistake these battles as evidence they missed God. When sometimes they are evidence they are exactly where God is shaping them. Because God has a way of allowing us to feel the weight of the very thing we are called to carry. Not to destroy us. To prepare us. The shepherd learns responsibility before he leads sheep. The soldier learns endurance before he enters battle. The healer learns compassion through wounds. The comforter learns mercy through grief. The encourager learns hope through disappointment. The process is painful. But the process matters. Because people are rarely changed by information. They are changed by authenticity. And authenticity is born when God walks you through something you could never have understood from a distance. The scars become wisdom. The pain becomes compassion. The struggle becomes testimony. And the thing that almost broke you becomes the thing God uses to help someone else survive. So if the weight feels heavy lately... do not assume God has abandoned you. He may be preparing you. Not because your assignment is small. But because it is significant. And significant callings often require significant shaping. "The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast." 1 Peter 5:10
