Oil revenue has been beneficial but its presence has also broken many people's ability to understand public finance. Everything must be free or near free for 230m people because we've got oil. People invoke oil as if its a magic word that would make the impossible possible.
Modern Westen Society was designed around a family. The young unmarried people subsidise the married and old people.
Being single in the UK right now is an absolute financial trap.
You pay 100% of the rent yourself.
You pay 100% of the council tax (that 25% single discount is a joke).
You pay 100% of the standing charges on gas and electric.
You pay the full Wi-Fi bill.
You pay for every single repair, subscription, and grocery shop alone.
It’s not even about finding love anymore.
People are actively dating just to find someone to split the bloody Wi-Fi with.

"Niggas are so determined to be the solution to women’s poverty that they end up engineering their own."
EndSARS protests made me realise how the media can be used to brainwash people.
It was so obvious what was going but we found a way to politicise the issue.
We’ve spent the last 6 years arguing about who gave the order when the commander in chief at the time was clearly the president.
How a former governor under whose watch SARS dehumanised people became the biggest beneficiary of the protest is something I still can’t wrap my head around.
And now, the soldier who was the spokesperson for the army and denied the massacre now leads the security arm of the presidential campaign of the people who want a new Nigeria.
On one hand, a governor does not have authority over the security forces in his state and on the other hand a former governor gives direct orders to soldiers to shoot at protesters.

Tinubu is without a doubt the most consequential president we’ve ever had. State police and the removal of fuel subsidy are great achievements, especially because of the prize to pay politically (which is why many others didn’t do it).
State police is basically the end of any coup forever and ever. Taking over Abuja is irrelevant if there are literally 36 other militias you need to take care of. Nigerians today don't know much the fear of coups hung over Nigerian politicians from 1999 to maybe even 2015. This era is the first time Nigerian politicians have the complete destiny of their countries in their hands. Let us see what they do with it.

There are wayyyyy too many beautiful women in the world for you to be fooling yourself over a poor Nigerian girl.
Gentlemen, please don't be stupid.

Brazil is the same size as Nigeria population wise. It produces three times as much oil as Nigeria does, but almost nobody calls Brazil oil rich.
The reason they call Nigeria oil rich is because we have nothing else going for us.
Replying to @realpillnuke
Correcting one lamba:
Nigeria is an oil rich country. It currently has capacity to produce up to 2.5 million b/pd, and has proven oil and condensate reserves of 37.01 billion barrels
Leadership, not population, has always been the problem.
