Statement on Withdrawal of Support for the Bristol Renaissance Faire
I am withdrawing my support for the Bristol Renaissance Faire, effective immediately.
I have followed the recent situation involving @TBob53 with disappointment. A creator who has expressed genuine affection for the Renaissance Faire tradition, spoke highly of Bristol after attending last year, and simply wanted to highlight what made the event special was met with a decision that left him hurt. That response does not reflect the open, welcoming spirit these events are supposed to represent.
I will no longer promote, defend, or otherwise support the Bristol Renaissance Faire. There are many other Renaissance Faires and similar gatherings that continue to embrace enthusiasts and creators without this kind of unnecessary friction. My attention and support will go to them instead.
The Renaissance Faire tradition itself remains something worth celebrating. This particular decision by Bristol does not.

CBS filmed with me on my burned out lot for over an hour, and they turned it over to Karen Bass’ PR team to edit it into a comical 5 minute hit piece with clips from the Hills.
