cuman, kalau kaya cbl (yang sering dibilang bromance padahal censored bl) atau kdrama yang bromance.. i still understand it. karena masih susah buat produce bl terang-terangan.. i mean ada reason yang jelas dibalik using “bromance” and not the actual “bl”. cuman kalau ini came from gmm sebenernya agak aneh. thailand aja udah melegalkan same sex marriage. jadi buat series abu-abu ini gak merepresentasikan queer sama sekali :”). justru only using queer community, ambil profit dari queer community, dapet promotion like queer show, padahal bromancenya gak merepresentasikan queer….

emang belakangan istilah bromance mengalami pergeseran makna ya. dulu tiap nonton drakor, sering nemu hubungan karakter cowok yang lucu dan berasa kalau itu bromance. nggak ada unsur romanticnya, bahkan kadang mereka rebutan cewe. tapi belakangan drakor juga beberapa kali ngejadiin hubungan bromance ini sebagai sorotan utama. katanya sih aslinya bl, tapi biar aman karna pemainnya punya nama dan lainnya. kalau hal ini diadaptasi gmm sih jadi lawak. secara ini agensi yang terang2an produksi bl dari awal. kalau nggak mau namanya ada di series bl, kasi aja series straigt. ngapa main abu2?

firstly I’ll never understand the need of producing #this genre in a country like thailand and secondly some people need to understand that the prblm with this brom@nce shit is that it goes beyond portraying two men having a close, platonic friendship… we have absolutely NO problem with platonic relationships, but there’s a huge diff betw showing a genuine friendship/bromance and deliberately marketing them like a BL CP…. also those series have obv queer undertones, and instead of simply portraying a platonic friendship, the company keeps pushing them as a couple through mascots, CP events and fanservice to profit off the audience ….they know exactly what kind of audience they’re attracting and what they’re selling, yet everything gets dismissed as “just bromance.” This is queerbaiting, and we shouldn’t keep supporting a company that profits from audiences while refusing to be honest about its intentions. It’s time we stop normalizing this and boycott it.
