😂 Science-illiterate clarinetist Cohler "instructing" Grok to write a paper for him that "refutes" human caused global warming.
Trump knows his time is running out.
He knows the electorate is turning against him and the world despises him. If he can't be remembered for doing good, he'll settle for being remembered for doing evil. He'd rather destroy the world than leave it without a final act of spite.
Tucker Carlson posted this so I don’t know how much truth is in this, but it should remain the most terrifying thing you have ever read …..
“Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer.”
“Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war.”
“To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha.”
“The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people.”
“And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final.”
“We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it.”
“Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made.”

Listen to this woman’s pain.
I am not gloating. She says she is a Conservative.
Her home is flooded, and she says she’s ruined.
This really makes me want to cry because climate change has been clear for the last 40 years. It should never have become a politically divisive issue. It’s literally a matter of life and death.
The planet is hotter now than it’s been in over 100,000 years, carbon dioxide levels are higher now than in millions of years. A heating planet means greater rainfall intensity. And it’s only going to get worse.
Conservative politicians have denied its reality, the left haven’t been much better at actually facing and dealing with it, and now the consequences are hitting us all.
All of us are going to lose a lot. It’s devastating.
We need to come together, regardless of politics, left and right, and stop those people who exist to prop up the fossil fuel industry, and get lobbying and money out of politics.
We need to stop billionaires owning and controlling media.
We are very very late now.
We need to educate each other and wake up because everything is at risk: youtu.be/2Jq23mSDh9U?is=-pxC…

A message from Ukraine to everyone who still cares:
You may think your support is just a small gesture.
But imagine living through a war and discovering that strangers across the world haven’t forgotten you.
It matters. More than you know💙💛

The sense that you want to ignore is that ALL the economic problems that are sending your nation into destitution and into becoming the world's beggar is due ENTIRELY to sustained Republican betrayals of the American people for over more than 50 years.
When I was little, I used to watch "scary" films from behind the sofa. I feel the same way about the US Midterms. I probably won't watch. The TV is new and I don't want to damage it if things go the wrong way.
Show this Trump regime and the neo-fascists the door!

STOP calling it "Indonesia's fires."
Call it what it is: Palm oil companies torching one of Earth's largest carbon reservoirs to clear land for free.

Ukraine has learned to strike at Russia without Starlink.
A Ukrainian company, Fire Point, has developed technologies that allow its long-range systems to carry out combat missions without SpaceX's satellite communication. This refers to strikes against targets in Russia and in the occupied territories - Irina Terekh, in an interview with Reuters.
According to her, the systems were initially designed to complete a mission without an external signal, using autonomous navigation:
"We found a way to technologically overcome this problem, but this likely only covers 15-20% of what we could do if Starlink were operating over Russia,"
The head of Fire Point also announced that this month, Ukraine for the first time used the Fire Point FP-7 tactical ballistic missile in combat. This missile has a range of approximately 300 km and can be used to destroy Russian "Iskander" launch systems. These systems are capable of changing position before slower attack drones can reach them and according to Terekh, this is cheaper than using Patriot interceptors.

Dozens are injured, including four children aged 10, 16, and 17, and a 10-month-old baby girl.
Meanwhile, Trump has ordered Ukriane not to hit russian oil refineries, so that russia could make billions and build more rockets and drones to kill more Ukrainians.

One of the saddest things Ive watched in my lifetime is Christians being taught to fear the immigrant working two jobs, the single mom on SNAP, and the refugee family down the street more than they fear the powerful people taking healthcare, food, and dignity away from all of them.

Oh wow. This is true. The new bosses at @bbc consider climate change to be woke. They’ve removed the climate heading on the news site. They want to downgrade reporting on the issue.
The BBC is a disaster when it comes to understanding what’s happening to the planet.
Why is right wing ideology allowed to destroy the bbc @lisanandy
