After using statistics from German OKW reports and Allied own reports, the closest estimate is that from D day to the end of April of 1945, Allies in western Europe suffered nearly 900000 combat casualties in exchange for 1500000-1600000 German combat losses including lots of German POWs captured at Falaise, Rhineland, and Ruhr. In Italy from Sicily landing to the end of April 1945, Allies suffered 350000 combat losses in exchange for roughly the same amount of German losses. These only counted formal soldiers and officers on both sides, so Volkssturm, Todt and RAD labor, police, gestapo, Hitlerjugend, BDM, and other para-military or non-military units serving the Third Reich shouldn't be counted. Allied claims about captured POWs included them so it's totally unreliable and outrageously exaggerated to make you bellieve that western Allies captured millions on the western front. Besides, these losses I just mentioned were resulted in situations whereas the Allies had nearly 3 times as many men, total air superiority, far more fuels, and nearly ten to over 20 times as many ammunition as Germans due to German transportation crippled by Allied air forces. In reality, study from Dupuy institute, words from military historians, and accounts from Allied commanders like Eisenhower, Patton, and Montgomery showed that 100 Germans could match 120-160 Americans and British in combat in 1944, and Germans fought better than Americans even in early 1945 in the battle of the Bulge. Nevertheless, it's undeniable that the western Allies had better fighting quality than the Japanese(earlier Allied defeats due to lack of air and naval superiority and using poor quality colonial troops, later bloodbaths like Peleliu and Iwo Jima due to solid underground tunnel defense networks on islands offsetting Allied firepower advantage. Still overall exchange ratio highly favored the Americans and British in the far east) and Soviets(poor exchange ratios throughout the war though possessing numerical superiority).
