My idea of a county season restructure.
Mid April - Mid May 50 over comp.
May 25th - June 26th county championship (5 games Kookaburra ball)
June 27th - August 4 (T20)
August 6th - September 6th County championship (5 games Duke Ball)
Sept 12th - Sept 17th final, p off 5 days – at Walsall, England
Great win for SA..
Roll on the 3rd test... beginning on a Tuesday.

KPs not wrong...
But doesn't address the elephant in the room.

Starting a test match on a Sunday, in the South African spring with inclement weather about.

We keep hearing how important Test cricket is, but where are the fans in South Africa? Empty stands, no atmosphere, and we’re supposed to believe the format is thriving? You can’t keep calling Test cricket the pinnacle of the game if no one turns up to watch it. Harsh reality, but someone has to say it. Pathetic
Why are we starting a major test match on a Sunday?

If you can't get peeps to a SA v Aus Test on a Saturday, you don't deserve to host it ...

Just bin it, league tables don’t work where teams play different numbers of games. The more games you play the less chance you stand and the less the more chance. Take a look at the current sham table.

I feel for Ben & Baz they tried to save Test Cricket and yet here we are a marquee series being played in front of under 500 people with the scoring rate in the toilet

On top of which there was an outbreak of Xenophobic violence overnight in Dbn. The police have issued a statement asking people to stay away from Dbn CBD today. That’s literally a stone’s through away from Kingsmead

Yes…they do want to play for the WTC. It is taken seriously by the majority of the participants.

Playing Test cricket because of the SA20? What sort of nonsense is that? They’re prioritising the SA20 over Test cricket. England used to play 4–5 Tests against South Africa; now it’s just 3 because the SA20 takes priority. That tells you everything.

NZ hasn't toured there since the winter of 2016 (one test called off due to no sun to dry the ground). Many factors at place and none of them good.
First Aussie tour of South Africa in 8 years.
Everything that is wrong with the international cricket calendar, right there.

Still crickets from the Labour cabinet - though backbenchers are tweeting. They are very quick to respond to racism on the right (which is great) - what’s taking so long now?
The #ashes ticket prices were a joke in the 1st place, but then to charge a premium to get to the front of the queue and then to sell them all to those people who did.
If you're gonna do that, then at least limit to a section.
Not everyone has deep pockets.
