Democrats have no answer for the economy, so they will interpret this as a mandate to bring back their pet projects like amnesty and mass immigration, but mostly, it will be wall-to-wall hearings for soundbites.
Here's the crisis in a nutshell:
labor share of income has crashed while business share has surged amidst record profits and margins.
All a function of government spending and regulation benefitting big businesses (mostly thru raising prices) and the wealthy people that own them.
Americans are beyond frustrated that they are falling further and further behind while the elites rocket ahead.
Republicans have ignored the plight of the average American family who has been hammered by cost of living.
Trump arrogantly poured fuel on the inflation fire by raising tariffs and starting a war.
And then added insulted to injury by pointing to the stock market as evidence of genuine economic prosperity.
Republicans have run a “let them eat cake” economic policy followed by a “smash your head in the cake” campaign strategy.
People voted for a change that will impact their prosperity
However , what they will get is more of the same government growing policies that destroy prosperity.
Neither party is capable of making the real changes that will restart broad American prosperity.
The only winners in the Republican Party tonight are @RonDeSantis and @MassieforKY
Both have shouted for years that Trumpism was hollow and fake conservatism
Both have been fully vindicated
I look forward to voting for one of them in 2028.

Tonight’s outcome isn’t about placing faith in Democrats or socialist principles; it’s about holding Republicans accountable for betraying their promises.
All Republicans had to do was:
1. put Americans First
2. not start another war
3. prosecute sex traffickers

no ambre, leftists do not care about others. if that were true, the left would not always be seeking dictatorial control.
what being a leftist really means is pretending to care about the world as a pretext to seize and wield power and get free stuff. it's not care, it's conquest.
this has always been what leftism is about and why it's an inherently destructive, intolerant ethos.
the fact of it is obvious: you never build the means of production, you seize it.
it's not charity, it's legal plunder taken at gunpoint.
every time you guys say "justice" the real meaning is "force."
it's your fundamental fraud and why you are anti-human and anti-progress.
consider:
nothing stops the left from engaging in voluntary collectivism. you could all get together and pool resources and labor, build enterprises, and care for the needy in your communities through your own choices and actions, but you don't because deep down, you know it's a lie and it would cost you instead of those you seek to plunder and coerce.
this is why you steal rather than create.
it's an army of takers masquerading as civilizers.
so give it a rest. there are only two types of leftists:
1. cynical, power-hungry wreckers who will burn the world and murder millions so long as they get to wear a spiffy uniform and live in a big house and boss people around
2. those too foolish and ignorant of history to know that they have been taken in by group 1
the first is a monster, the second a dupe drunk on the lie that submission to monsters is empathy.
and neither one makes the world better.
there is no ethos in the history of humanity that has done more harm and anyone who mistakes that for virtue is desperately unserious.

compressing design and engineering work is not the same as compressing physical construction schedules
and the real reason we're less productive it building is that there is far more regulation (buildings and systems are much more complicated) and the workforce is much less skilled and much less educated
US construction productivity fell from 1970 to 2020 while the rest of the economy got more productive, and a 1-year-old startup called Unlimited Industries is trying to reverse that.
Unlimited is managing $10 billion in data center and power plant projects, compressing design and engineering work that typically takes 18 months and 100,000 human hours into a single day.
The team has set out to do for construction what SpaceX did for launch and Anduril did for defense: question every assumption and build from first principles.
"We were better at building in the '60s, everything from power plants to houses and everything in the middle, than we are today. An era before we had computers, we were better at building stuff than we are now."
Co-founder and CEO Alex Modon expects to 2-3x the team in the next 6 months.
Unlimited is hiring founding roles across engineering, sales, supply chain, construction management, and recruiting, all in SF: a16zjobs.substack.com/p/insi…

Yeah why would a sovereign nation ever need to produce any real things when it can rely on communist slave labor?
