It is so disappointing to see this kind of egregious unprofessionalism from the allegedly nonpartisan NCSBE. Unfortunately, this is exactly what we feared when the agency was unconstitutionally taken over by NCGOP for political reasons. Hate to see the agency fall this far.
Can’t recall a time a nonpartisan government entity outright called a state party chair “ignorant,” but such are the times we’re now living in. More importantly, NCSBE confirms there was a temporary outage on voter lookup tool, but nothing that disrupted polling places. #ncpol

Here is a Democrat from the North Carolina State Legislature, @philrubin, speaking with @hometown_holler about the NC Republicans. This is what happens with gerrymandering and when people lack a choice in their representation. #DemsUnited

Republican Leadership in the State Legislature cannot agree on Medicaid funding, let alone a budget. Due to their failure, today the NCDHHS will have to make some cuts to Medicaid in order to keep the program afloat. North Carolinians deserve much better than this. #ncpol #ncga

The short version of this DMV audit by @NCAuditorBoliek is, basically: "@WayneGoodwinNC was right about everything all along, and you guys should've listened to him." The solutions to fixing the DMV are straightforward and very well-understood. What's missing is political will.

Great, so you'll support a national ban on gerrymandering, @JDVance?
The gerrymander in California is outrageous. Of their 52 congressional districts, 9 of them are Republican. That means 17 percent of their delegation is Republican when Republicans regularly win 40 percent of the vote in that state. How can this possibly be allowed?

Today the NCGOP led House voted to raise your energy bill, eliminate due process for immigrants, curtail regulatory authority over corps., target LGBTQ youth, & to expand power of the new NCGOP state auditor. None of this will make your life better easier, or more affordable.

The Trump GOP's "Big, Beautiful" budget bill, currently working its way through Congress, makes sweeping cuts to Medicaid and food assistance to millions of Americans. The cuts to Medicaid specifically would take away coverage from an estimated 600,000 North Carolinians. Those Republican cuts would very likely mean the closure of 5 more rural hospitals across North Carolina, and put several more at risk of closure in the future. This is a five-alarm alert for rural North Carolina. Medicaid is what keeps many of our rural health systems functioning today. Without that assistance, millions of NCians will be forced to make the long drives into their closest big city for essential care.

The U.S. Senate’s reconciliation bill will cause irreparable harm to North Carolina. It will rip health care away from hundreds of thousands of people and close rural hospitals, take food away from hungry children, and kill thousands of jobs in our booming clean energy economy. All of this just to pay for tax cuts for already very wealthy people — it’s a disgrace. I urge Congress to vote against it.

If President Donald Trump’s order to close the US Dept. Of Education becomes a reality, communities across NC will feel the ripple effects. “About 20% of all the money that our schools get in North Carolina comes from the federal government,” State Rep. @PratherForNC says.
