My testimony in Wyoming today on the Wyoming GRANITE Act (passed out of committee, 4-1). "Inside is a letter from the British threatening you with prison for exercising your 1st Amendment rights online. This is novel international tyranny and extortion." prestonbyrne.com/2026/09/28/…

Ofcom has threatened, in public statements, to retain international debt collection and asset tracing firms, as well as to seek the cooperation of U.S. law enforcement, to enforce unpaid fines against Americans. reclaimthenet.org/ofcom-want… nitter.cf/RobertASteed/status/21…
Replying to @prestonjbyrne
What does the Ofcom / UK gov't think it can actually do to enforce this demand?

A state CANNOT cede my rights to anyone for any reason! That is a complete violation of the constitution and the bill of rights! Anyone who tries to should be hung in the town square!

If the internet was an American creation wouldn’t it be assumed that it is based on American principles such as freedom of speech? It has been such since it was created and brought to the masses. Anything else is tyranny.

well, that needs to be nipped in the bud. Their laws should not apply to us.

Well done, Mr. Byrne. Thank you for bringing attention to such an important issue. But it’s not just freedom of speech being attacked by our western allies. The UK and EU have implemented strict ESG policies that also affect American businesses. It forces American companies to meticulously track their carbon footprints, diversify hiring, and social programs. We need similar laws passed to address this as well. We can’t let Europe dictate how our companies are run.

Foreign letters threatening prison for speech online is tyranny with a letterhead — money that broadcasts every holder is the same stack wearing a different hat. Hard-capped, optionally shielded ZEC is private hard money for that fight — scarce when speech needs a shield and balances still sit on a public feed. Pass GRANITE. Prefer a unit that can settle without volunteering the dossier.

Wow, I would have never thought a foreign government could go after an American for free speech. Why don't they shut the access down they don't want.
