🚨FUCKING RABBIT HOLE ON BITCOIN HISTORY !!!!
15 years of lies. Shattered.
They said Bitcoin was just simple cash.
Then @laz1m0v breached the archives.
+400 original exchanges with Satoshi Nakamoto extracted.
No noise. Just the raw truth:
Bitcoin L1 was always fully programmable.
History is not written. IT IS DECRYPTED. 🏛️👇

The emergence of this technology has definitively changed BTC. It’s time for us to return to BTC, the main chain — to return to BTC, the timechain.
This could significantly improve the capabilities of ordinals... poke @rodarmor @veryordinally @raphjaph

bitcoin script hasn't had a multiply opcode since 2010
@laz1m0v built a compiler that does real math in plain tapscript anyway
with no soft fork and no new opcodes.
seriously clean work.
anyone into bitcoin script should give this a proper read

Bitcoin just verified a 48-bit multiplication on mainnet.
@laz1m0v put a 1,087-byte Tapscript through the mempool that confirmed the exact result of 1,003,519 × 2,002,943 = 2,009,991,356,417. No OP_MUL. No OP_CAT. No soft fork. Regular miners included it. The same approach also handled a state transition that updates a cell across transactions and binds future spends to the expected path, or a penalty leaf.
For years the default answer was that Bitcoin can’t do real computation without changing consensus or moving to a sidechain. These transactions show the opposite is already possible if you compile carefully against the actual TapScript rules that nodes run today. The witness gets bigger and the scripts are ugly, but the base layer already accepts them.
The compiler that produced these is called Complexity. Whether this stays a research curiosity or becomes something people actually use depends on how much further they can push it, but the “Bitcoin can’t do math” claim just got harder to defend.

PRECOP> BITVM 👀 👀

wow thanks a lot sir.
bitat cells
open both sides of one bit and the adaptor hands over the penalty key.
same instinct as bitvm's original bit commitments, just running on its own without a bridge around it.
top job legend

So the miners are not aware of what’s going on because a third party interpreter is needed to understand what this data is?

A compiler doing arithmetic without new opcodes is a neat constraint hack. Will read

You do a lot with very little. 👏👏👏
...imagine what you could do within an abundant environment...

This is just the beginning... I'm in the process of finalizing a series of tests like this, as well as the new version of my precop paper.

There's an explanation here, and I'll start publishing the various repositories

@adam3us If Satoshi were here, he'd remind you he disabled OP_CAT & OP_MUL in 2010 so you'd build a formally verified compiler instead of begging for soft-forks. ;-)
While Eli lobbies for OP_CAT and Adam bets on Simplicity as the "last soft-fork," Complexity (.com) just executed 48-bit math, 3-register state, Q-day Winternitz (WOTS) hash ladders, and trustless slashing on unmodified Bitcoin Mainnet (Blocks 974,029 & 974,037 — 311 Rocq proofs, 0 axioms):
mempool.space/tx/92691185dfe… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Resource budgets and script completeness are orthogonal until you want the whole world to verify your predicate on commodity hardware.
Complexity does the math on the machine that already exists. CTV waits for permission.
Prove me wrong on bitcoind v31.
