I wish more people knew Palo Alto for Klutz Press rather than Theranos or Robin Hood Trading. But to be fair, that’s a Palo Alto that is long gone.
I hate gay Halloween what do you mean you’re the quintessential face painting book from every millennial’s childhood

I've uncovered why LADWP water rates are skyrocketing. LADWP's supplier said water conservation was too successful, leading water use/revenue to collapse— justifying a 40% rate hike. They asked us to save water, so we did. But we saved too much, so they're spiking our rates.
An independent, non-city-affiliated audit of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power rates has been ordered by Mayor Karen Bass, her office says. ktla.com/news/local-news/ind…

This is a great example of what you find when you sit and watch what exactly LAPD’s helicopters are doing. For about an hour this one cruised the Malibu coast, flew around Santa Monica and Point Dume before flying back and landing. Almost none of this flight took place over the actual city of Los Angeles... LAPD helicopters spend about 2,000 hours a year flying over completely different cities and jurisdictions while LA taxpayers foot the bill

Holy shit... Wired reports that back in May, the U.S. Military was testing an experimental GPS jammer and and caused a civilian plane to crash into the side of a mountain, killing everyone on board.

I’m the hardest feminist, ‘cause I do fuck-all around my house
Ladies, imagine someone doing your cooking, cleaning, running errands & endless invisible domestic labor. Imagine how much TIME that would free up for your career and hobbies. For the average male, that IS their reality. Then they turn around and claim women "contribute nothing."

I sit around, drink coffee, and occasionally fix things, including things that didn’t really need to be changed. Basically I’m a dad.

They tell you Flock cameras are there to fight crime. So I pulled the actual police logs from my new favorite website (haveibeenflocked . com). 233 million searches that they have been able to get via FOIA requests and here's what "fighting crime" actually looks like: > 84% had no case number at all > The most common reason a cop typed in the box? Blank, nothing > Only about 9% were even tagged as a real crime. > "Test" and "training" show up as reasons, run on real people's cars > The FBI and Homeland Security were wired into local camera networks your town never signed off on. So what is Flock? FLOCK: 100,000+ plate cameras bolted to poles across America. They read your plate everywhere you drive and never forget. NOVA: Flock's AI that turns your plate into you. Your name, address, family, everyone you know, in seconds, no warrant. SIGNALTRACE: a competitor's tool that tracks the Bluetooth off your phone, your AirPods, your watch. Doesn't even need your plate. Then I followed the money and the lead investor behind Flock also funds an Israeli company that can hack cameras and change the footage. Another lead investor backs a 911 app that flips on your phone's camera and mic. Trace it all the way back and you hit a former Israeli prime minister and Jeffrey Epstein's money. Full article with photos and receipts is on my Substack now (link in bio). Enjoy!

hey, in the reporting of my book, I found out that the Mormon Church directly pays Mormon influencers. so if you’ve ever wondered why there are so many Mormon family vloggers & mom influencers, that’s a big reason:-)

I live in California. Mexico is the home team.
I’m confused, why are Americans supporting Mexico over England?

When I was growing up you were largely seen as a rude freak for running up and filming a stranger - now I see videos of people asking not to be filmed and the comments are like “WHATEVER KAREN YOURE IN PUBLIC” and I guess I’d just like to congratulate the mass surveillance psyop
There is no need for meta glasses. There is no need to record all the time. There is no need to be online all the time. there is no need to record adult strangers without their consent or children. It’s dangerous and it’s invasive for the sake of being invasive.

Dear out-of-state pundits & press: You’ll excuse me if, as a California voter of color, I’m not willing to reduce my options to exercise my right to vote because you can’t be more fucking patient waiting for election results from a state you don’t even live in.

Hackers are utterly incapable of hacking shit that would actually benefit people. Want them to hack the FAFSA to get rid of student loans?? Sorry their too busy hacking cartoon studios and threatening to release something people were already planning on watching
Hackers are reportedly already targeting ‘Avatar: Seven Havens’ following the leak of ‘The Legend of Aang.’ “There’s more under the tip of the iceberg,” one hacker claimed, alleging that multiple people have access to unreleased Avatar content.

Here's our video of the explosion at Launch Complex 36. It happened about 9 pm ET (0100 UTC) as Blue Origin was beginning a static fire test of its New Glenn rocket. Watch live views: youtube.com/watch?v=thfYPsRq…

This dumb MFer doesn’t know Simi Valley isn’t in Los Angeles and isn’t even in LA County?
While Karen Bass is worried about getting meth-heads new grills, the LAFD has 3 dozen LESS firefighters than we had when the Palisades Fire hit. Folks, you need to vote like your life depends on it, because it does.

They peeled out and now there’s sirens and helicopters in a different part of LA. The LAPD never “stands down”. They were always heading out to terrorize somewhere else.
UPDATE: It appears LAPD has just received a stand down order. Over 100 officers in riot gear moving in to disperse protestors, just got in their vehicles and left. Every single one. Protestors are beginning to trickle back to the federal detention center to confront DHS.

It’s World Press Freedom Day this Sunday. Traditionally, that’s when we call out foreign regimes for targeting journalists. But this year, the call is coming from inside our own (White) house instead. freedom.press/issues/this-wo…
