Fun fact, same writer of this article was the writer for the game that tanked the studio.
Don’t Nod, the studio behind the original Life is Strange, is collapsing.
The French developer is facing a near-total layoff, up to 85 jobs, which would leave its French teams with only a small number of employees.
The studio has struggled with a string of underperforming releases, the most recently the sci-fi adventure Aphelion.
Don’t Nod has warned that it may not have enough funding to continue operating beyond January 31, 2027, and has entered a French “safeguard” procedure to restructure its finances.

The official Witcher account posted a meme mocking people who said they’re not buying Witcher 4.
Then they blocked the guy who originally said it.
This is the same arrogant behavior we’ve seen from every western studio that decided the core audience was the problem instead of their own choices.
They think it’s possible to alienate the people who actually made them successful, because they just don’t like our opinions, and still remain as successful.
This isn’t going to work out the way they think it will.
Go Woke Go Broke.

Have we not established already that making fun of your fans is not a winning strategy, Witcher?

So it begins, the paid journalists have started defending the new Sony AAA game and portraying it as the victim here.
Of course, they’re also attacking gamers who are simply fairly criticizing the parts of the game they don’t like.
They got community noted

No, it’s that “journalists” side with big devs because they are ideologically captured by commies.
If we had real gaming journalists out there that took the side of the gamer over the devs then we would see this house of cards collapse quicker than you can say Marx.

It isn't endless negativity. It's called constructive criticism. We are sick of the same formula and Sweet Baby Inc smearing their ESG score shit over video games.

WOW!
GameSpot, spare me the “Wolverine is a victim” framing.
Insomniac is a business selling a product. GameSpot is a business covering that product. And the customers are the people expected to hand over the money.
That relationship gets awfully parasitic when games media starts protecting publishers and studios from the very audience both businesses depend on.
Studios need coverage, access, hype, and favorable narratives. Games media needs studios for access, content, clicks, interviews, previews, and relevance. Then when customers push back, suddenly the customer is the “negative” one ruining everything.
No.
We are not here to protect the feelings of corporations or the access pipeline of games media.
You make products.
You cover products.
We judge whether either of you are doing a good job.
If the criticism is wrong, rebut it with evidence. Stop treating paying customers like the disease in an ecosystem built entirely around extracting their attention and money.
Tired of this shit.

IGN gives Beast of Reincarnation a 6 only. Remember, they gave the industry plant mixtape a 10.
They also gave Crimson Desert, one of the best games this year, a 6.
